My thoughts exactly. My niece is 6 months old and I will make sure she has everything she needs in her life. I have seen, in my work, parents who don't love their kids. But you have to try to get through it. Once you're grown up, you can move out and cut your ties with your parents if you feel like they don't bring any joy into your life and you can't work it out between you. I don't know where you're based but I'm sure there's some organisation/charity or person that you could talk to about your situation. Maybe look them up online? It really helps to speak out your problems to someone who will listen. Even if they can't provide as much help, it's still good to talk. It provides a lot of relief. I was once in your position when growing up (had many conflicts with my parents, even a dad that hasn't been around or spoken to me for over 8 years) now I'm moving out for university this year and it feels like such a relief. A fresh new slate. I had thoughts about what it would be like if I wasn't living anymore but discarded that idea and decided that at least I will try to get through the shit I was in. And I'm so glad I did so. Life isn't perfect right now, but it's getting better. If you're still young and live with your parents, then think of it as this: you're only partway through your life. There's still so much to see, experience. So many new people to meet. You've got years ahead of you that will definitely be worth living. ❤️ Life has plenty of its ups and downs, but it's part of what makes it worth living. It makes the good parts a lot more joyful.
