Everytime Em talks about a toxic relationship, you can pretty much be sure that he is using metaphores to describe his relationship to the rap game. I would really recomend that you watch scriptwork's breakdown of this song. I bet you will listen to Em's songs with a completely new perspektive afterwards😊🔥 your reactions are great😊

As you can see Em never made a sweet normal love song for anyone other than Hailie and to some extent Dre 😅 Whenever he does a love song you can bet it'll be about desperation, codependency, addiction to pain, and other things that's opposite of healthy. But damn he has ways with words.
