Honestly even if Drake writes his own music and is genuinely the one behind his own work (he most likely isn’t) his record label is such a leech and is actively harming the music industry intentionally. Not a single OVO artist has blown up, besides Drake, and that’s because he wants nothing to do with them and actively harms their career. He just uses them as his own ghostwriting crew. It is a lot harder to forgive actively squashing young talent than stealing from other musicians. Even if Drake didn’t make bland and generic music derivative of everyone else that’s popular at the moment he is still actively harming the industry by deriving it of young talent. I think J. Cole has done very good in regards to his record label. He’s very involved with the artists and using his experience in the field to not only bring legitimacy in the public’s view but also propel their career. That’s just not something that you can say Drake has done at all.

Every artist has some annoying fans, but not every fan is the same.

That’s all rappers but the rumors were that Quentin M. wrote for drake cause meek mill “exposed” it in 2015 but Quentin came out and said multiple times he was never a ghostwriter. Yes they wrote lyrics together but he was always credited. And Quentin said he watched drake write some of his biggest hits. Each rapper has a team and people who help them write or make suggestions on certain bars but they are always credited unlike ghostwriters

If the artist gives credit to everybody involved in the songwriting process (as Eminem does), then there are no ghost writers...

Fans are a bunch of morons that don't know how the industry work. Eminem got like 3 writers on all his albums, same with tupac. The only person who wrote everything himself was Biggie I think, I heard all his songs are freestyles and they just kept the best ones as a verses.

Eminem is the top selling musical artist of the 21th century so far but there's a MASSIVE difference between them in terms of creativity, rapping dexterity, virtuosity, lyricism, raw talent and impact. Contrary to Drake, Eminem is an artist that actually made an impact in society when he bursted onto the scene in the late 90's, early 00's. Kids around the world wanted to be just like him. They dressed like him, dyed their hair blonde, tried to act like him... (like he says in "The Real Slim Shady"). White kids from countries where rap wasn't even known at that time started to battle rap just like him in 8 mile. There was really an Eminemania at that time. During that time I lived in two countries (one in Latin America and one in the Middle East) and I definitely experienced it in both. That tells you how big he was.
