Thanks for the sub! And yes i will speak on his new album some time in the future. Debating on how i will though but one thing is for sure: i really like the album. It was like a love letter to his longtime fans and he was rapping like he was hungry. It was dope
I swear it isnt. I said that just in case the real person sees it and gets offended OR they are a bad person and people see it and think they're me lbs
You asked for explanations if anybody would disagree so yeah heres my 2 cents since i think i have some food for thought. Completely agree revival was straight dumpster juice & even if It's not my favorite album I think Relapse gets shited on 2 much. I think albums should be reviewed as complete projects (all bonus or limited edition tracks counts) so knowing that Em fellt a type of way about that album we got the refill version and that's the version I count and out of 26 tracks i only disliked 9 which leaves me still with 17 tracks that i go back too so I would rate it as like 7/10 it's not bad but it's not anything special either it's mid pretty much. On top of that a song like 3am for my ears is complete garbage but guess what if you look at spotify it's one of the most streamed track on that album so I guess I'm a minority and thats why it has a label of a "cult classic" amongst the stanbase.
I was counting the Refill version of it too. That's why i said "20+ tracks" since the standard album was only 20 tracks with several skits thrown in. I just couldnt get with the accents. I remember on first listen i listened all the way through and by the time he got to Underground i was pissed that he didnt just use his regular voice. Cause the lyrics range from fire to very good. The issue is that the songs just do not sound good to me which is the key element music needs to have. 3AM was a single, and actually one of the few songs i enjoyed. Off the top of my head i enjoy and still play from the album 3AM, Deja Vu, Stay Wide Awake and Underground. For Refill i only enjoyed Music Box, Be Careful What You Wish For, and My Darling. So thats 7 tracks i enjoyed overall, but since the album has like 26 tracks in total thats a bad ratio to me. I do somewhat like Crack A Bottle but i cant listen to it anymore. That song was a product of its time. Thanks for taking the time out to share your opinion 💯
@@FaceTheRealThank u 4 answering me love hearing interesting HH talks specially from gold channels like yours because i found you randomly cant wait 4 new videos 🤙
Personally nah ion fw Eminem now he kinda corny to me especially now he tries way to hard to be “cancelled” but definitely has great songs and fasho top 15
I think the issue with main listeners they have a limited attention span. So something could sound out of place the first go around and they count it out. I personally think revival was just him experimenting as far as making a track that wasn’t so on brand with him. Basically pulling a Kanye move. It’s still my opinion his worst album. Relapse is good but sonically most people won’t enjoy it. Then you have the whole Em raps fast criticism. People just can’t catch everything in one take unfortunately most people will only give it a one time listen. Em is a whole picture kind of hip hop artist. He’s complex and very meticulous. You need to go over his work multiple times to see the whole picture of what he’s trying to convey.
I agree with almost everything you said. His lyrics tend to have layers throughout a simple 16, and there are still things i catch from old songs he dropped years ago from time to time. Hes an amazing artist and rapper.
