What does comedy have to do with being a serious MC? This may be news to you but most rappers just talk a big game and never back it up. If rappers really rolled up on people they were beefing with then they’d be in prison. Doesn’t mean it never happens but most rappers are professional shit talkers.

I remember this beef when I was in highschool. Two legends going at it. But Eminem's interview after his death is trippy because both had similar experiences. Michael Jackson in 2024 is still a legend.
They never had any personal beefs, Eminem just did this to every other popular musicians, not only MJ, and MJ bought catalogue because of his beef with Sony Music and it has nothing to do with the Eminem

I love how Eminems music *shouldn't* age well, but somehow it's timeless. Edit: So I made this comment around three years ago and I would like to say that this song has aged horribly and so has a lot of Ems music. Not saying he's not good, just saying his older music hasn't aged well. Yeah, people only focus on how he dissed MJ, which in my opinion was a bit unfortunate as Jackson was a man who had no infancy (due to his abusive father) so he grew up being a child but he wasn't actually a bad person. At the same time we all now Shady's crazy and even Em says so in the song ("and that's not a stab at Micheal , that's just a metaphor, I'm just psycho") so we shouldn't take the "diss" personally. But curiously, the same people who got so mad about the MJ jokes and the video (I actually like MJ music and his legacy, but I'm also a HUGE Eminem fan) don't ever mention what you just said; he also makes fun of his persona, of his one big movie 8 Mile, he's mocking everything and everyone! You should really listen to the story in each song. Most of it is about his personal battles and some of the people who get away with the shit they do, yet he continued to get blamed for making a bad impression on children when he was only expressing the struggles he faced during his rise to fame.
This is why education is important and you don't learn shit from 30 second YT videos. Micheal bought a record lable 2-3 years years later and that lable has the discography of many artists even most popular than Eminem, that does not mean anything. Look I have more money I won the arguments. 😂

We dont give enough credit to Eminem for his humor. He has got a very distinctive dark humor with punchlines and references. As an MJ fan, this video must have veen pretty rude back in the day but ngl I really laughed at so many of his other jokes. He is very smart went it comes to observation and critique
