Literally just realized his voice is tuned out for the entire beginning because it's like he was outspoken by everyone and afraid to say shit then his confidence grew and his voice gets louder as the song goes. Damn.
Em challenged himself on this one, he wanted to keep the same rhyme scheme at the end of his lines through out the entire song to see if he could make a song where the end lines all rhyme. He did the same on till I collapse, all words that land on the snare in that song rhyme as well. People that put him down don't understand the skill and ability it takes to make a song like that that actually has a deep meaning or message. GOAT status.
He's done it a few times, pretty sure Groundhog Day is the same rhyme scheme for the whole song, and Stay Wide Awake has insane rhyme schemes, almost every words rhymes at one point. He's the GOAT no doubt.
Em says "Instead of trying to escape through my comics..." then later says "I'm Brian Dawkins" who was an NFL player with the nickname "Weapon X". Weapon X is Wolverines experiment name.
@@Sulay.. well yea but obviously when you think about it it's only his pronounciation that made it sound good because if you just say those Dolphins is close but still none of em actually rhyme
That line “So bring on the giants, falcons and miami dolphins” gives me chills because the year after that song came out, the Lions beat all three of those teams, in that order!
His most underrated song ever , not many know this one , he kept the same rhyme scheme trough the whole song while keeping a story/timeline going and energy/emotion building up, and then it all comes together and climaxes at the last verse with emotion just exploding everywhere. He takes you on a trip on this song, i can visualize everything he says.
(Edit) Kids that get bullied at school are always the kids that grow up to be either famous or Successful, and the bullies always say they suck or they'll never achieve anything. Then the bullies grows up to be a junkie. The motivation behind anger is great. Best thing about Em is that I can relate to him.
When you're a bully you don't want to change. They like themselfs just as they are... But when you get bullied you have the need to talk, to express your opinion on it. They also know how hard is life and they understand that if they give up, they'll gonna be absolutly nothing. They know that's going on... Bullied people have also something to say about uncomfortable and personal situations. Bullies have nothing... That's why thay are bullies. They wanna "destroy" someone else cause they are already destroyed.
RetroMagnet I got the shit beat out of me in elementary school and mostly feel like a joke in hight school i dont think someone like me is ever gonna rise up and be famous il probably have a basic job at best.
RetroMagnet Because at that time they believe they're on top of the world, they stay in the mindset that no matter what things will turn out okay for them, they blow off school and have no ambitions to chase while the kids who are bullied have an ambition to make their future better for them.
People who hate Eminem should really listen to the deeper meaning behind his words. He's one of the few song artists who don't have materialistic lyrics, and are actually trying to convey something. He's been through stuff too, so he definitely knows what he's doing. I hope I see him one day.
I swear the day Eminem dies, my heart will die with him. I've been a stan since I was super young. He's been like my real father....spiritually.. through music.
Same right now I going through addiction problem. But that's not the big thing, the real problem is that I'm different sometimes I feel like a alien. I ask my self why was I born ? Was it to be dog sh!t
The beat change when he says " what abt them rhymes I've been jottin' "... always gives me goosebumps!!! this song must have saved many lives of people who were told that they ain't shit... including mine!!
I feel like a dumbass but I’m Just now realizing each verse gets clearer and clearer as his confidence grows throughout the story and that shit blows my mind
I love how this song shows the progress of his life. I listen to this song when I need inspiration. The rhythm and rhymes are unbeatable, I still don't know how he made "bulb" sound like it rhymes with the rest of the verse.
@@darkminister1503 I'm sorry, I hate how so many people are nowadays, I'm homeschooled because I really don't wanna get bullied for being different, and I already have been called weird by random people an random places.I'm sorry of you were treated badly in the past (or if you still are.)
Anyone noticed how in the first verse he is rapping all shy and the actual lyrics are how shy he was and towards the end of the second verse when he starts to talk about how he became confident he starts to have an aggressive flow and right at the 3rd verse he is all about fighting back so his flow is super aggressive?
"the best part about me is I am not you I'm me, I'm a fire Marshall and this is my legacy" that's why he's the goat, he just spits the most motivational words ever 🔥
Notice how at the start his voice was quiet and kind of in the background then his last verse his voice was loud and clear showing that he felt weak when he was a kid but now that he's found music he feels like his voice is 100 times more powerful.
0:14 - I used to be the type of kid 1:48 - I used to be the type of kid 3:22 - I used to be the type of kid The amazing about it is that he speaks more confidently each moment ... As if he overcame everything in the past
While all these "rappers" nowadays are rapping about smoking weed and fucking bitches, Eminem is putting out genius songs like this that are getting over looked.
Sky is falling Life is calling Or life's.. calling Die balling Tried often Wild orphan Wide assortment This took less then a minute not many but idk lol
Sky falling Tried often Wild orphan Die balling 3 different branches of rhymes right there u could take with that sky falling may not seem like a word that would have alot of rhymes but really all the syllables don't have to rhyme
he rhymes the same syllables the entire song and never uses the same word twice. skys falling, i a martian, my noggin, psychologist, like crosswords, try and draw from etc...
I think the fact that I'm differently wired's awesome 'cause if I wasn't i wouldn't be able to work words like this and connect lines like cross words. -that's such a true story
Sometimes Eminem doesn’t even seem real, he is that great! This guys mind is on another level. He raised a bar in hip hop that I am not sure anyone will be able to top. He made rap history.
Fr tho But you know what? At least he never ghosted us and left us. He stuck with being #1 rap god. He will definetly be the most loved person Hes fucking amazing. I love em.
I see it in some of the songs, like the verses in this song, although in MMLP2 he uses a lot of different people for the chorus of his songs, whereas in the MMLP he makes his own. Another major difference is he uses the "eminem yell" voice for most a good amount of verses in MMLP2, but in MMLP he creates a variety of different voices. Even when he is yelling in "Kim" it sounds different, distressed and crazy. Overall, I think the biggest change is that he doesn't act as if he is rapping as a character or different version of him in his mind anymore.
I sing to this song in tears and full of rage ! Cause I was bullied once in my school and now I’m getting bigger and bigger in what I do... Thanks Em for inspiring me through all this years of my life... you’re truly the GOAT
Who the fuck trashed this album? Now Revival was trashed and for good reason but MMLP 2 was well-received by everyone I knew. For fucks sake Rap Critic rated it as high as Illmatic (which is completely and utterly fucking ridiculous because MMLP 2 is a top 50 rap album but Illmatic is the best rap album of all time) and overall the overwhelming majority of people loved it.
Da GOAT Imma get crucified for this, but All Eyez on Me, Good Kid Maad City, 2014 Forest Hills Drive, The Eminem Show, Me Against the World are all albums I liked more than Illmatic.
It’s 2022 but gotta come back and say as a kid listening to this with no dad and literally being the same way Eminem describes himself as a child n realizing that I could turn bad to good too , man did it fuckin help. Eminem a true hip hop legend .
