@@shawns7066 yes sirrrr. when a relapse song comes on in my playlist i think of the album as a whole, not just the singular song. a lot of people are just like “why’s he rapping about this vulgar shit” and don’t take the making of the songs into question. but for the serial killer vibe, he nails it
I always looked at “Relapse” and “Refill” like a graphic novel about a serial killer. We all know Em is a fan of comic books. Graphic Novels are just comic books that are longer and more fleshed out than say a regular comic, that’s shorter and fits into a series. Nothing before Relapse or after, fits with Relapse. It’s it’s own thing. Like a Graphic Novel. Also, the term “graphic” could be considered a double as “Relapse” is very graphic in the content. Horrorcore. Em got crazy hate for this album based on the content and “accents”. As a Stan, it isn’t personally my favorite. BUT...the production and cadence on the album are top notch. The only* song I really skip over is “Insane”. It just so nasty I can’t even play it. But there are some bangers on this album, especially on the “Refill” bonus tracks.
Insane is my favourite on the album, but I'm fucked up so I can understand why most people don't like it. Relapse is one of my favourite albums by him, his flow was just incredible.
@@system0fadowner251 Eh. I mean SSLP and MMLP had similar themes with the exception of the serial killer vibe. So I definitely don't think its that. I think it's because of mixed responses back then. But now this album is considered a classic, even though it always has been.
"Hell Breaks Loose" is another good one from Relapse: Refill 🔥🔥 or "Taking My Ball" lol, beat is fuckin fire on that joint too. and yes, Dre produced everything from Relapse.

Relapse is a classic in my eyes. I love this album. His writing was so unique since he was probably writing with the accents in his head, he just did so much creative shit with words that no one else would think to do
Not gona lie, in 09 I thought Em fell off when I first heard relapse, I was expecting some G unit era toy soldiers /patiently waiting shit but like 2-3 years after that I fully realized the genius and it's 1 of 1, the theme of the album, the writing and flows and the dre beats were just incredible
As a huge fan of well done horror, this is my favorite Em album. Its like an excellent, actually terrifying, sometimes gruesome, darkly comic collection of classic horror films (Texas Chainsaw Massacre, Psycho, SOTL, The Exorcist, Deranged, original The Hills Have Eyes, Evil Dead films, Motel Hell-one of my fav. films) transferred to an album. He holds nothing back here, and gives us a transcendent horrorcore masterpiece. Don't care what anyone says, it's genius.
Honestly, I love this album. I thought this was a really good album. It gets so much flak from from people who didn't like Eminem's, but this is one of my favorites. This is a really creative album.
I love the “serial killer” Eminem. The story telling is just incredible. And Stevie “got me boppin to Buffalo bill” 😂 Watching Stevie enjoy the music and dancing is enjoyable to watch.
This song isn’t so random when you listen to the whole album. It’s all on some psycho serial killer crazy dark vibe. This was also on the part 2 of the album relapse: refill
You should listen to “drop the bomb on em” off the same album it’s pretty much him saying nobody wants to beef with him because he’ll literally drop the bomb on their career Actually both of these are part of “Refill” which is kind of like side B of MTBMB
i genuinely feel like you're gonna be one of those reactors that'll enjoy relapse front to back, simply because of how out there and creative it was. it's my favorite record of his after the original three for a reason. if you haven't, check out same song and dance. have a good one, stevie!

Best part about Stevie is that he can review the tunes objectively. Not everyone wants to hear a serial killer jam, but Stevie can appreciate everything about it without necessarily wanting to jam to it.
I actually watched the biographics video about ed Geene yday, mahn the guy was worse than all of them. Dahmer, Gaycey, Kemper none of them comes close to the craziness of Geene.
this was off of relapse: refill (side b). dre executive produced the entire project and em is on the murderous wave throughout the whole album, you definitely should check out more from this album.
this is my fav horror song from EM. the last verse is so crazy man...flow and lyric scheme... i still listen this like 5 times per week...kinda...and its a fun song to sing with accent..ahahha
The stomach rumbling is describing the hunger that a serial killer has for killing...When you are hungry you can't stop the rumbling until you eat something.

I believe there was interview where he said while in rehab he was watching a lot of horror movies that's where all these dark serial killer references came from on the album.
Em needs to do a track or help produce something with Rob zombie for a movie they both have that horror mind set and Rob zombie this is what he does on film
The Yoda part was just because Yoda tends to change up the word order in his sentences, so "You are in a world of sin," becomes "In a world of sin you are," which fits the rhyme scheme.
I don't know if this is correct or not but the way I see it is the Yoda voice is playing into the "multiple voices in Em's head" not to mention he was into comic books and I'm sure he was into Star Wars as well
Picking up the fact is was a sewing machine not a chainsaw is stuff you can do with pretty much every Eminem song His sounds effects are so good you can almost see what he’s doing especially when he paints the picture with his words
