I was born in 91 and this is purely my childhood LOL Eminem was the first rapper I listened to. It helped that my parents did NOT understand English LOL
Taylor Swift did a short rap for an awards show with T Pain it was called Thug Story it had an MV, but it was taken off, but you can listen to a lyric video of it or you could do a reaction of Steven in Stereo's reaction of the MV before it got taken off. It is too cute.
I'm 68 & have loved this man since I heard The Slim Shady LP in the early '99. Yes, he can rap but the bars he spits are pure fire!! He doesn't shy away from anything. He's a genius in his genre & has proven this over & over. Keeping it real, that's exactly what he does. People either love or hate him. If the HATERS actually took the time to listen, it wouldn't be long b4 they'd LOVE him. My opinion only.
Pls react to Space Bound, The wayI am, Without me, When I'm gone, Mockingbird, Cleanin out my closet, Rap god, stan and maybe Bad husband (gotte hear Kim beforehand though)
An Eminem journey I think should begin with these early gems, just a few. Then, skip forward 20 years and hear a current hit of his. The difference, and that sound of his entire evolution of musical and lyrical talent is indescribable. React to either Til I Collapse, Rain Main, Cleaning Out My Closet, or all three, and then jump all the way to Alfred's Theme which came out a year ago. React to the videos.
The performance of this song from the 2000 (or 2001?) MTV Video Music Awards is really something else. MTV did a last-minute casting call for young men who were willing to bleach their hair and show up wearing a white shirt. Those who showed up, and there were about a couple hundred, got to go up on stage as the fake Slim Shadies.
The radio edit is fairly different. Uncensored Eminem is actually pretty wild BTW. Stuff anyone would get cancelled for today. His first few albums are insane 😅.
Liked and subscribed. Do ALL of Eminem. And listen very closely because nearly every line means more than one thing. This is the literary genius of our generation...
Hi Sufi, I noticed you really enjoy disecting multi-layered songs with clever and sometimes controversial topics. Has anyone ever recommended Tom Macdonald to you? If not I would recommend him to you as he is a very interesting artist I feel you would enjoy reacting to and analysing. If you have some time that is 😁🙏
Welcome to the world of The Real Slim Shady.....now if you want you will have to discover to Eminem and then to Marshall Mathers......I advise you to look for the explicit videos .... because Em has many censored words in his lyrics and great content is lost....
The Tom Green Show was a shock prank style video show before RU-vid was a thing. He was crude and over the top and as a middle schooler at the time, we thought he was HILARIOUS while our parents found him revolting 😅
Yup. He did hump a dead moose while everyone was clutching their pearls over gay marriage. Cancel culture can’t hold a candle to the Karens from back in the day.
that's funny as a 8yo kid i listened to this album all day long without understanding any words, it's a real trip to rediscover those classics of my childhood while understanding now
a reactor who has heard music before? Lol That seems unheard of. I always love titles like Gangsta rapper listens to eminem for the first time. Like how the fuck you gonna be a rapper and act like you have never heard eminem before?
You need to hear these 4 songs, 1 you already heard it, but they are the best of it. Then you can listen to the ones that other comments say but these are unavoidable: 1st The Real Slim Shady 2nd Without Me (funny and beef) 3rd Lose Yourself (1st rap grammy) 4th My Name Is (first eminem song)
I like his old songs but I do not support him anymore because he mixes his work with politics and shoves his political views in his fans' throats right at his concerts (at least that what I saw, hopefully he doesn't do this anymore).
