This song left me SHOOK the first time I ever heard it. It’s a whole Netflix documentary in a 5 minute span. Dude wasn’t even singing just shooting spitballs. GOAT song
OMG - Em scrubbed his OWN line saying, and whats this sh*t about we should be together? Thats f*cked up makes me think maybe we shouldnt meet together - talking about gays... WOW and now yoy may only reply to alrdy written comments - I lose respect for Em on that SMH
I started learning English in 2020 with an aim to get the meaning of this song, because translation was a little strange. Now when I know English well, I finally get what eminem tells in this song.
This is such a masterpiece in such a messed up way dude. A lot of people say that the whole video it's complete as a movie but they don't realize that things like this happen irl
R.I.P 'DJ Mark The 45 King' who produced this song, he died today on the 19th of October 2023. Let's thank him for producing one of Eminem's many masterpieces.
It still feels surreal to me how you guys got to witness the beginning of a new millennium. I was born 5 years too late to do that. That's literally a once in a thousand years opportunity.
I know man y'all are so lucky I'm only 15 and music like this is a masterpiece I wish I was able to feel how it felt to listen to it when it first dropped.😪
@@AlexGonzales-ev1zk Yeah, it was a great time to be a kid/teenager. Society and pop culture were shifting in huge ways and it was great to experience it. However, you DID get to experience for the first time. It may not have been when it dropped, but I'm sure you had a similar experience of awesomeness when you first heard this song, and this kind of music, as my generation did. As long as you get to experience it, that's the important thing!
@@lampegutt123 Yeah, I remember first getting on RU-vid in 2005, shortly after it was created. Now there are kids who either weren't born yet, or were just a tiny infant, that are now commenting on RU-vid...from their phone or laptop at the University they're a freshman at. 🤯
Guys I'm 15 and tryna make music to support my family. Search up "k grip" if you wanna listen. Sorry if I was being annoying, thanks a lot for understanding why I'm promoting like this :)

Dear Slim, Have you ever considered leaving Vevo so your music can be heard as you ment it to be heard? I can't take this **** because it ******* annoys me and seems silly. I'm sure you're to **** to **** this, but who ****? yours *****, ***** ****
I remember him on a late night radio interview before he was huge. The host asked him to freestyle and he went right in...he just kept going and flowing until it was clear that he could do it endlessly. I'd never heard of him before but when I began hearing his songs on the waves, it was clear who it was
I think I might make an Al Gore parody of this song. I can sort of mimic Al Gore's voice from South Park. I could use ManBearPig's audio to fill in 'Slim's' part at the end.
Eminem ur th ebest rapper. I have been listening to u since my parents divorced. It broke my heart. U remind me of my dad, and i miss him. I wish he would change. Thank u for everything.
Dude he is like 6-7 years old... as much as him he’s a kid he’s likes what ‘stan’ has showed him of Eminem and he’s grown to love it too but no not as much. He might like him as a ‘biggest fan’ but that’s as a kid. Stan is his real biggest fan like he says... hit me back your biggest fan this is Stan.
@@user-wg3li8zq5v I think it's more about finding the line between who you are and who your idol is and then taking inspiration from them, but not actually being them.
i liked but arguably, but I don't want to argue. awwh but now i see you put one of the greatest, meh history will prove to be a long time. we will see.......not !
@Laeel Odinson lmao then just call yourself a fan rather than associating yourself with this. They literally mean the same thing except one has "stalker" added to it.
@Laeel Odinson the word Stan originated from this song coz the stalker guy in its name is Stanley (Stan for short). So if u call yourself a stan, that means you would basically do what he did
@@nesotheshitposter1475 the word actually came from the conjunction of "stalker" and "fan", or "stan", and they gave that name to the character. So when you call yourself a stan, you're calling yourself a stalker fan, and it's sad that a lot of people don't realize that, or do and consider it something to be proud of
@@metamon2704 you obviously didn’t read what I said. Like what Diego said, stan is a conjunction of “stalker” and “fan.” And if you’re stalking, you’re probably obsessed, your comment was pointless.
This one of the greatest song ever! The “Stan” is depressed, if you listen to dido’s lyrics. Dido verses was the Stan set of mind. Also does anyone notice that Stan was going through the 5 signs of griefs; He said his friend killed himself. His verses started with denial/isolation, then anger, then bargaining, then depressed, his(Stan) last line was acceptance when he realized what he was doing is crazy but it was too late. Eminem is a genius! That’s just a few reasons to why this song is just so damn good.
