@@MB-ry6ez but the problem is that we all think that the celebrity live is fun and amazing but we dont' see the hiding bad thing about it like privacy and not being able to live or do a lot of things u want
once upon a time he was fucking badass! And then he went and sold his shit and wnet mainstream an totallly souless, hes shit after 2002(3) is just shit and obviously orchistrated by others.... to bad.. I really loved his shit in the begining, RIP. Slim Shady!
This was when he was at the top of his game dude. He wasn’t kidding when he said people would wait for him in bathrooms and come sit next to him and ask him for autographs and photos when he was trying to just spend a day with his daughter. He couldn’t do anything without people either pointing the finger at him for everything bad in this world or shoving a camera in his face and trying to make him act like some clown. He was one of the first white rappers and everybody blamed him for copying black culture and that for some reason since he had a “ghetto accent” he was trying to be black. You don’t need to be black to have a ghetto accent idiots. You grow up in the same place and have the same slang because it’s who you hang out with growing up.
I'm guessing you're unfamiliar with Tyler, The Creator. That dude can say pretty much anything and keep fans. I'm sure Eminem isn't the only rapper to call out annoying fans while maintaining a career.
I'm a white 33 yr old male who never knew his father. Eminem saved me quite of few times and I will always relate to him. Love u em. Staight up. Real shit.
as the 212th like i understand how mind blowing it was first hearing rhyme schemes like this, or delivered in this manner, yet be not too abstract. Incredible
Ya I get it back when he first did this stuff it was crazy to here this stuff on the radio in the car you would just jam all the way somewhere you were going
Nobody hasn't perfected that flow except Em. Eminem did this with heavy emotion. This is why Eminem is a legend. It's so effortless and natural. He felt it. He made you feel it. That's why he a God
I had recently learned of someone who nearly matches Em's skill. But he's got a long way to go at the same time. I think this guy may just have his skill but not the mastery. If you're curious, it's Ren.
The herion hit white suburbs and addiction and lives lost smh its something you dont understand unless uu stuggled and lost friends n family ànd seen all the desructoin
Same. Im black but when Eminem started getting extreme exposure especially with this song, i was just blown away how poetry and rhyming structure can be so magnificent and complex. People go to college for these kind of artistic display and understanding.
@@macabree5856 I was dealing with white guilt when I first got into Eminem. I thought WTF, there's thousands of rappers and I just like the only white guy doing it?!?" But that was just the first song that got me into rap. I Love a lot of other rappers now, but Eminem is still one of the greats.
Can you imagine being in his position during this time? Being used as a scapegoat, losing all privacy, losing freedoms, cant even go out with your child. This song was long overdue when it came out
Not only did they blame him and Marilyn Manson for the Columbine they also blamed Rammstien, people blame angry agressive music for shit that has nothing to do with them
So ironic that Eminem's music gets censored when his music criticizes the ones trying to censor him and artists like Marylin Manson. The fact that his language actually resonated with people is exactly why censorship is wrong. He is as scary as the society he was brought up in. The censorship suggests that people would rather stick their heads in the sand and pretend that poverty and crime don't exist rather than recognize that his music is a real representation of American society and the effect that has on peoples mentality. All he ever did was express his mind without walking on eggshells.
"fuck it, shut up and listen." my parents took this CD away when I was little, but it was too late! I had already memorized ALL the lyrics. lol. now 27. STILL MY FAV.
This was my favourite rap song during high school. Forgot about it for years, and it still sounds amazing. Its a masterpiece and i feel so lucky to be alive with eminem.
They've been trying to cancel Em since the Clinton years. But, if cancel culture is really such a problem, how'd Em manage to release #1 albums in 2017, 2018, and 2020?
The flow from this song is still one of my favorite flows of all time. It was way ahead of it's time with all the trap metal type stuff out now too.he was really screaming on the beat for a good reason.
People don't realize how different rap was back then. Eminem was white, and the world didnt like that, because white kids started listening to rap. He also collaborated with rock, which brought in more of white America. The media went bananas on him and it just fed him fuel. Times are changed, he already won this battle. There are white rappers all over now and rap is the most listened to genre in the world.
True words... "... he already won this battle". Yeah, he did not only won, he killed it. I remember 2002 when half usa was demonstrating against him because of "Real Slim Shady" and the "discrimination" of homosexuals. And what he did? He played Stan with Elton John and shut up all the people in less then 5 minutes! Eminem is, was and stays the shark in the fishtank!
Yeah, kinda. There are still ppl in the scene who think Eminem is a "guest in the house of hip hop" because he's white and cant be part of the real "culture" etc. That's why in Fall he says And far as Lord Jamar, you better leave me the hell alone Or I'll show you an Elvis clone Walk up in this house you own, thrust my pelvic bone Use your telephone and go fetch me the remote Put my feet up and just make myself at home I belong here, clown! Don't tell me 'bout the culture! I inspired the Hopsins, the Logics, the Coles, the Seans, the K-Dots, the 5'9"s, and oh Brought the world 50 Cent, you did squat, piss and moan But I'm not gonna fall… bitch! (yeah)
You have right. I am from Serbia and in our country there was rap groups in 90s period, in war time. But now, rap and trap are wery popular in Serbia, Balkan and i think that Serbian trap and rap is best in Europe. Here some shit from Serbia! Eminem is an absolute genius and that's it. He's been an integral part of my road to become a man. Noone else has touched my soul like Eminem has. Nr. 1.
LIL CHIEF yes same things again and again and again ma bih lo do cocaine.. miss white cocaine she spent whole in Gucci store.. got a Gucci store in my house😂😂 my new favorites are Chris webby and lil dicky..actually was a mad wiz fan but he just raps all the same bars most of the times but still his kush and oj is 💚
this is such an underated song of hism, the way he puts that emphasis on every sentence like hes spitting with actual emotion its so good i love this song
This is not underrated, this song is on The Marshall Mathers Lp wich released in 2000 when there was no youtube. So may be its youtube views is less than his other songs but The Marshall Mathers Lp has sold 21 Million copies and sold records. And this song is one of the most popular songs from MMLP.
Underrated? Everyone who understands lyricism considers this one of his best works. Double syllable and single syllable homicide with raw emotion all over the place
🙄Ummm This song was never underated I remember when it first came out!!! Everyone was bumpin this for yrs bro!!!! You couldn't go anywhere without 👂🏾 this now run rabbit was underated ppl actually slept on that one accept his fans
This is one of my favorite em flows. This song is straight forward and to the point and while not as layered in meanings as some of his other songs this song is still one of my all time favorites.
You can hate Marshall or love him it doesnt matter....this is a masterpiece . Thats what happens when endless love for the game and godlike passion for Hip Hop collide.
@@exoticcar5482 Fuckin 100%. I say this to everyone who starts to "give" a fuck when a shooting happens or a bomb goes off in another country. Our media doesnt make a squeak.
MR LCS also he got rich so the experiences that brought out some of his hardest hitting raps was gone. He doesn’t want to rap about the past anymore and seems to have turned into a good role model for his daughter. He’s a goat, I love that he still puts out music albeit over longer periods of time.
Or he changed because he can't say shit just because people now are just too much butthurt about every fuckin' little thing. Especially controversial things that are the truth. In a way its not that we don't have an Eminem that used to be, but more like we don't deserve him.
This song in 2023 still be better than all modern "rap" songs together, this message will be changed year after year because I don't think anybody make real and GOOD music
0:24 - 0:52 is why Em is the best rapper alive. Seriously, I've listen to this song probably 1,000 times, and still can't perfectly recite that. Dre even says how he is able to make these songs in an hour or so, insane.
I was able to do that in 9th grade. I remember hearing the dirty version for the first time and thinking it was insane. I really didn't know this song was about him being stressed or angry. I just liked the hook but I listened to it when I got older, just reminiscing and it was like I could just put the words together like a puzzle. I have never even looked at the lyrics for this song until today (just wanted to see if I was saying the right words). With some songs I can listen to it 100 times like Ski Mask the Slump God - Catch Me Outside and still not be able to get it.
Trust Me Man, This is not rap This is his art of reflecting eminem's life in a lyrical line !! And he is so mastered in this art that word "Rap" is small for this !! You just cant describe him nor by word "Rapper". -Always be ur Stan ❤
I mean, it's good to appreciate him and such, but just going full stan? Please don't be a Stan And what's this shit about us meant to be together? That type of shit will make me not want us to meet each other
I'm so thankful that I grew up watching Eminem rise to one of, if not the greatest of all time. He changed the game and elevated it like very, very few artists have done in history. It's like the way people got to see the Beatles rise. He is one of those 'once in a generation' kind of artist.
This song, this damn symphony... Anthem, is by far the most beautifully performed, and written. If you hone in on the sound of his voice and latch on to the restraint rage and aggression. It's just amazing he could manage to sound so full of anger without screaming over the whole song. Impeccably written, no better way to describe it other than calling it a classic.
Check out my shit m.facebook.com/comment/replies/?ctoken=2005788896147458_2005797616146586&ft_ent_identifier=2005788896147458&gfid=AQDTlpHbigrP6I4F¬if_t=feed_comment¬if_id=1538512484844144&ref=m_notif#
2:04 - 2:38 are some of my favorite verses in Em's entire discography because its so real, even 18 years later. The media blames music, drugs, video games on school shootings. But these shootings were happening all the time in black communities with no media attention. That's why there is a subtle emphasis when he says the word 'now.' " *Now* its a tragedy *NOW* its so sad to see, an upper class city havin this happenin."
Yeah you kinda missed the point, it's not that it was black communities specifically just poor communities in general which statistically speaking there are more poor white communities than black communities in America.
Pac was a statement and may even bigger then music and passional but when it comes to the lyricism he isnt even in the top 10, im not a hater i appreciate pac, but i know about the hiphop culture and to say pac is the goat or how these young people say it today is just ridicilous. Study hiphop again, u probally missed alot and just listened to the commercial success rappers.
I have seen EMINEM in public and because of this. song I didn't go up to him he looked at me noticed I recognized him and smiled best god damn day of my life
Showed this to my sister's Chihuahua, it's now a rottweiler. Showed this to my nerdy Asian friend, he is now Bruce Lee. Showed this to my cat. I have a saber-toothed-tiger for sale. No relation.
This song is an incredible example of talent and work ethic coming together to make a masterpiece. I don’t care how smart you are. Try writing a rap in a repeating anapestic tetrameter structure (whatever that is) while telling a coherent story, fueled by raw emotion and make it sound good. Oh, and produce the track too. Shit is genius. Generational.
Never thought much about this dude as a rapper until.... This song. His best by far. The lyrics, rhyme scheme AND he made the track. It's a certified classic.
Im not gonna be like one of these dudes in here saying “check this out check that out” just glad u finally giving respect where its due on your journey of discovery
