Another Knox certified kick ass reaction. Being a rapper yourself? You understand every aspect of how everything is said, the bars and the facts of how brilliant our homies from the D are. You know your shit Knox. You’re living it. You can’t understand chemistry if you’re not a chemist. People think they know... but that’s why I love you’re reactions. You’re a barology mechanic. 💯

I agree with most of this, but uh... "You can’t understand chemistry if you’re not a chemist"? I get what you're trying to say, but the way you've presented it suggests that one should have no right to claim that their objectively terrible food is bad simply because it was cooked by a qualified chef.

I've been waiting over twenty years for Marshall to mature and give me an album JUST LIKE THIS. When he got "big", I was already grown up, being the same age as Em, and I thought he was just too...immature? Sure. Sure. He's the goat, always has been, but this one. This and Revival are what I was waiting on.

Cris ZV You are correct. He originally produced this beat for himself, for use on his new album. But Em heard it, spit some stuff on it, did some free styling, and Royce was just like, “you know what, you can have it”. I’m not even joking, he even verifies this himself. That’s crazy. Just having him here Em rap once on his own beat, made him go you can have it. That’s how good Em is to him.

A crazy thing I haven’t heard anyone notice- when he says “it ain’t even worth dissin someone ..so off ...beat that they ..can’t ..figure out ..where to put the ....kick and the ..snare” He says kick on a backbeat when the snare hits and snare on the down beat, with the kick. It is purposely disorientating, but even beyond the rhythm (which isn’t actually off beat, it is just a combination of triplet quarters and triplet 8ths) your mind is usually confused when words don’t match the intent, like seeing the word green written in red, it messes with your head. (There are word identification tests that use this technique.) In other words Em is SO far above that guy’s level that Em can diss him with syncopated triplet 1/4 notes and that fool can’t even find the 2 beat. There’s levels to this album. You will not catch all the Easter eggs on the first listen, you need to read the lyrics, repeat sections, think about it, google some shit, this album is DEEP and incredibly well thought out lyrically.

@jeffgillson
@jeffgillson 4 года назад
Minty Guy - so a 1/4 note is basically one beat. (Counting 1234 in 4/4 time*) Triplet quarter notes means you put 3 notes into the space of 2 beats. (Pretty much anything by Migos follows this cadence) Syncopated means the rhythm is cut up so that strong/accented notes fall anyplace other than on the downbeat. * 99% of hip hop is in 4/4 time signature.

15:56 Let me explain how potent the diss is, it is powerful bcos he dissed a rapper named T grizzly from Detroit who dissed Em sometime back, that guy raps off beat so Em is saying it aint even worth dissing him but then again, I can see how someone would think it's a nick line lol
@Nikita_Nazarov12

Also, that "kick and the snare" line is towards Grizzy (a Detroit rapper) that dissed Em (though when he dissed him, he was off beat like Cannon was).
@KnoxHill

Do you think it could be both? Em is the king of double entendres. When he talks the kick and snare it’s all about the drumline - Nick Cannon stars in a movie called Drumline
@Nikita_Nazarov12
@Nikita_Nazarov12 4 года назад
Knox Hill Eminem is most likely dissing Tee Grizzley, though it’s subtle enough (potentially on purpose) to hit Nick Cannon too. Both Grizzley and Cannon (who both have much smaller fanbases than Em) have taken shots at Em, but Em has concluded that “it’s not worth going after certain people who are just going to capitalize off it.” The lines consist of clever wordplay by involving Grizzley’s name and taking a subliminal shot at his style of rapping with the lines “can’t even figure out where their words should hit the kick and the snare.” Eminem intentionally delivers these lines off-beat to further get across his message. “I am too volatile and too grizzly to bear Yeah, shit is gettin' to where I can barely even sit in a chair I bust my ass for this shit and I swear It ain't even worth dissing someone so offbeat That they can't even figure out where their words Should hit the kick and the snare”

Honestly Royce coming in that hard is excellently executed on his part, we all know by now Em overshadows most very easily like you've said yourself. Stuff like Forever and well pretty much every feature, he just starts spitting and it smokes everyone on the track giving them a lesser look. However in Godzilla like you said yourself Juice stood out and worked will with Em because of the different styles and sound laid back vs Em hard flows. Royce came out swinging at the start and it makes him memorable no matter what, very very well done in my opinion.

I think you might just be the best reaction channel, well, can't even say reaction channel, cause compared to some other reaction channels you really are like a surgeon dissecting the bars, so you are on a whole different level. Respect :) It is a typical example of someone who knows what he is talking about vs. someone who is a layman. Also I feel like you really do this with passion (that does not seem fake like many other reaction channels, who do it for views or whatever). A bit off topic, you are not doing yourself or us (the ones that respect you for what you do) a favor by letting it get to you that there are some haters commenting. There is not a single video on youtube that does not have some thumbs down, so that doesn't really matter. Once you blow up with subs, the number of people who hate is also going to blow up, so it is best to just not give a fuck at this point now already. Have a good one man, see you on the next vid! :)

The line is "Got several bounties from feds in every county I'm with a gal at a Checkers wiling Bumping "Fuck Da Police" while I fed her Rally's" Rally's is the name of Checker's in the Midwest. However, Federales - Mexican Federal Police -- got bounties from feds Not many people catch that.

I think the reason why eminem gets so many backlash is because nowadays people are used to surface level of hip hop, easy to understand lines, linear definition, generic beats, overused flows, and autotunes. Most rap songs these days have no complexity (Yes I’m referring to mumble rap because mumble rap is dominating hip hop). Em’s a storyteller, he’s a lyricist, he’s the Shakespeare of hip hop. These mumble rappers are nothing but wattpadders compared to em. With em’s songs you have to pause, and repeat each line or watch breakdown videos to actually understand his songs. You have to use more than 1 sense to understand his song

Royce is probably one of the MOST underrated rapper of all time, his lyricism and contents are probably second to the GOAT, and he is one of the very rare few in modern days can go bar for bar with Em, the only others been Joyner Lucas and Kendrick Lamar in my view. But even the other two do not produce the consistency as Royce!
