Just for your information as a British guy who travels to turkey regularly you don't get a better deal in Istanbul it's actually the other way around you get better deals in the holidays costal towns like marmaris bodrum every Brit knows this turkey is a big holiday destination for the Brits we always bring a empty suitcase 😎👍

Grand bazaar is full of rip off merchants its just worth as visit thats all. The shops outside between spice bazaar to grand bazaar are much much cheaper so shop there. I bought a high end ysl handbag for my wife outside. Same bag in bazaar was 3 times the price
The prices are certainly more expensive inside, due to rents. That being said you can always bargain. I actually think the secret is in the bargaining.
