As Emirates Airline president and founding father Tim Clark prepares to step aside, he reflects in this FlightGlobal video interview on more than three decades at the sharp end of Dubai’s flag carrier.
I'll miss knowing that Sir Tim isn't running the airline that I've used so much over the last 15 years. A true visionary. Hardly any other airline seems bothered with my local airport (BHX) but Emirates made it work. So easy for us to get to the Far East. Love this airline. Great leader.
Who is taking over to fill Sir Tim Clark's role as president? I'll never forget his personal intervention in 2016 with helping my daughter with travel plans to the Middle East.
Great talk, I have trouble calling it an interview. Would have liked to hear more about the engine manufacturers inability to meet agreed upon objectives.
Absolutely insightful video. Thank you for having this interview, never checked once on how long this is gonna go on for. Very interesting to know the values and beliefs that make this airline and who better to know this than from the founding father. Please continue interviewing such pioneers before we run out of time. Their valuable experiences and life lessons have to be on record for future generation managers to learn from.
Great vision, Emirates is one of the best airline in the world because of Sir Maurice Flanagan and Sir Tim Clark. But last year due to the spread of the pandemic covid Emirates made redundance for almost 65000 staff's and these poor staff's still struggle to find job. Sir Tim promised in an interview Emirates will call back all their staff's once the operations back to normal, now operations getting back normal but the redundant staff's didn't get any call from Emirates.
