Please forgive me: I've been marginally aware of Emm Gryner, but never really listened to her music. Now I've watched her sing with Chris Hadfield, and sing a song to an abandoned train. And I'm a fan. Emm has a lovely voice.

The Liberal's got 41% in 1993 (majority), 38% in 1997 (majority govt), 40% in 2000 (majority govt) and 37% in 2004 (minority govt) until defeated in 2006. Enough said. Now let us concentrate on Emm's wonderful song and not politics.

Love this song, as a photographer in S.W. Ontario I've had several successful walks along the tracks with camera in hand.

Nice song Emm. I travel to Ottawa several times a year and I live a few blocks from the train station in Niagara Falls, since VIA dropped it's service a few years ago, now I have to take the bus to burlington, then the GO train to Union station to finally connect to the VIA train, it used to be so easy. First heard Emm G on CBC's Afternoon with Rich T. Thank you Emm Some Gordon L guy also wrote a little ode to train too a few years back right from the old CBC library.. What a wonderfully rich vast country. Why do they want to wreck it Mr H and his ersatz Canadians are the Monsanto of political vision.

Not exactly "the people of Canada." Only 39 % of those who voted did so for the Tories. Under our present parliamentary system the 61% majority who voted for other parties have no say.

Are you certain she was trespassing? Do you know if that was an active line or not? If it's active, how often do the trains use that line? So many questions that you don't have answers to. When you do, inform us.

VIA 86 and 89 was a train that ran between London-Toronto, but got discontinued due to poor ridership. That line alone has 8 VIA trains scheduled a day as of right now. Not to mention the CN frieghts that average 4 times a day. Regardless if this is active or not, it's still considered private property. Even if a line is not use.

Didn't listen to the song, as the musician is clearly trespassing on railways. A railway is a very bad place to take such shots. This was made without the approval of the railway and thus a criminal act.
