Emma does wonderful justice to this Walter Wanderly-Astrid Gilberto gem from the '60s, capturing all of its essence and sensuality, as well as the proper period flavor. It's too bad that no official video exists for this lovely recording, but whoever compiled the footage for the montage shown here did a very laudable job. Bravo.
Sorry strigen, but Emma did an incredible job, singing So Nice. Her voice is sweet and perfect. If u didn´t like, I really really sorry, but she was fantastic with her Bossa Nova touch from England!
Sorry MandyLoren, but Emma has soul in her voice. She was born with it and she can cover any kind of a good style of music and So Nice ( the song in question in a Bossa Nova style ) for example. If u didn´t like, I really really sorry because Emma was fantastic as always doing it!
Someone to hold me tight That would be very nice Someone to love me right That would be very nice Someone to understand Each little dream in me Someone to take my hand And be a team with me So nice, life would be so nice If one day I'd find Someone who would take my hand And samba through life with me Someone to cling to me Stay with me right or wrong Someone to sing to me Some little samba song Someone to take my heart And give his heart to me Someone who's ready to Give love a start with me Oh yeah, that would be so nice I could see you and me, that would be nice Someone to hold me tight That would be very nice Someone to love me right That would be very nice Someone to understand Each little dream in me Someone to take my hand To be a team with me So nice, life would be so nice If one day I'd find Someone who would take my hand And samba through life with me Someone to cling to me Stay with me right or wrong Someone to sing to me Some little samba song Someone to take my heart And give his heart to me Someone who's ready to Give love a start with me Oh yes, that would be so nice Shouldn't we, you and me? I can see it will be nice.
Not bad... but Astrud Gilberto's verson is the best by FAR! This is the only cover I've heard with the vocal start and finish to match though. Not a bad singer ~~ Just missing some style.
Please you guys. All i ever see on here is people fighting - about music! How stupid. Look, she's not the real deal. But at least she's picked a nice song. The arrangement is kind of butchered, but that's technical. Someone mentioned Eminem well he's great at what he does, but it's no samba. Still, none of this is a horse race. Ease up, it's art. Let it be.
I loved this version of So Nice made by Emma Bunton. Emma gave an extraordinary touch with her cute voice with a different way. I´m sure that Astrud Gilberto is proud by this version made by Emma for her song!
This is a very credible version of this song. Great arrangement with strings and trombones and trumpets backed by an updated bossa nova beat. There's something wonderful about seeing a pretty girl sing a good song.
Emma was my first celebrity crush, i was in love with her when i was maybe 12 or 13, and now, several years later, Im 27 and I see her again and it is like looking at your highschool sweetheart. It seems that I`ve been always in love with her after all, lol and im married now, lol.
yeah you're right, you've got a possitive point of me this people should... firstly, learn to distinguish latin lenguages (what's spanish, what's portuguese, what's italian...) and secondly, laern what's samba and where does it come from( do you know whats brazil?? well.. they speak portuguese..yeah samba is a brazilian music style! )
where is youre culture? you most of english people don't know anything about another lenguages and cultures, we have to speak your english properly but then , when english speakers have to speak another lenguages, you think you can do it as you want... you are soooo egocentric ..
This song it's recorded by portuguese song peformed by Caetano Veloso. It's call: "Samba de Verão" in the Rede Globo's soap opera "Laços de Família" in 2000. I LOVE U BABY SPICE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Walter Wanderley made this song famous when he released his (instrumental) version in 1966...Summer Samba/So Nice...and You can find it on RU-vid from his Rainforest album
