well done, that's a very different way to present an artiste, and probably unique, but there's nothing wrong with the idea, and it gives a very clear indication of how good Emma's singing ability is, That said, the orchestra plays a huge part in creating the bigger picture, the first time I heard Emma was in the local cinema when they showed Andre's Summer concert in August, and we had no warning of what was coming, and then Emma arrived on the scene, and we were all blown away by her incredible performance, made more powerful by the way the cinema had their sound set, it was very much a case of FEELING the song, the volume was so close to being just under pain threshold, so we knew all about just how wonderful her voice truly is. I've found out a lot more about her since that time, and I was shocked to discover that this video of Voila (now at over 42 Mliiion views on RU-vid alone) was the first ever live performance of this version of Voila, and it was very different to how Emma had been singing it before this time, the previous versions were much faster, and this new version gave her the time and space she needed to truly express her feelings and emotions, and she very much did that, she wasn't just performing, she LIVED that song on the stage, the only people not shedding tears were the orchestra, and that was because they'd had to learn not to, despite the emotions, they'd shed many tears during rehearsals, it was so intense, and of course, Emma was absolutely away and emotionallly involved from the first note, it will be a very long time, ir ever, before another singer comes even close to singing this song in the way that Emma did that night. You also played some of the MAX Studio performance she did of Hallelujah. the full video of that is on RU-vid, ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ma01DXvF5Vk.html It's very apparent that mentally, Emma is elsewhere, she's so invested in the song, and living it in that studio, and giving it so much of her voice and her emotions, it's probably one of the strongest versions that's been seen of this song, and many artistes have performed it over the years, but not with so much variety, Emma goes from soft and gentle to absolute full on belting power, and she does it so beautifully. There are a significant number of songs from her on RU-vid, and they're all worth exploring. One that's very different, the reason is clear from the translation of the original Dutch comments by Emma, and when I read them, and then listened, I don't mind admitting, it broke me, When I Get There - @PinkVideoVault An unaccompanied short, very powerful, a song about the passing of a very close friend, given Emma's own situation, so incredibly deep and moving, just incredible. Mindblowing and heartbreaking, she doesn't say in the notes, but I am guessing that Angela also was afflicted with Gastroparesis, so this had to have hit Emma so hard, it's a cruel disease, and for her to produce a piece like this, it's short, less than a minute and a half, there are no words, only deep deep admiration for her courage and strength. If it were possible, today's closing comment is even more heartfelt than usual, Emma's foundation can be found at gastrostars.nl If at all possible, please join me in making a (regular) donation to her foundation, to enable them to help patients like Emma, and research this awful disease, and hopefully find a cure. One of their main people is a surgeon who has a lot of experience in dealing with gastroparesis, and she is not only a surgeon, but also suffers from the same disease herself, to the extent that as a result of her condition worsening, she's had to leave her role in the hospital, and she is now dedicated to the foundation, and working to help find possible new treatments, or even better the cure that will free people like Emma to live a more normal life, rather than be tied to the feeding pumps for so many hours every day. It would be wonderful news to hear that they have been able to change the outlook for Emma and others, it would be tragic if Emma were unable to continue to sing like she does, while she looks stunning on stage, her stamina is not good, so it is a very delicate balance to maintain her health, it would be so good to hear that the situation has been changed by the work the foundation are doing, Emma would then be free to spend more time doing what she loves so dearly
