Rumours are, that she will sing on 5 may with full symphonic orchestra on the occasion to celebrate 80 years of freedom at the Amstel in front of a.o. the King and Queen. Perhaps again with Imagine, or other freedom related songs. The concert will be broadcasted live on national tv.

Hard work, determination and God gifted talent. Emma, again does this cover justice. Travelling to the Netherlands from the UK in July to hear her live. Can't wait !!

For my taste this is just a bit too slow, but yes: Emma did a great job here.

I would have preferred that Emma had not performed this song. Contrary to popular opinion, I do not believe it is at all a positive vision of a better world. Having said that, it is always a joy for me to simply hear Emma's voice and watch her perform. Thanks for reacting. All the best.

Alex, your comments are so valid, and so appropriate, and I too hope you are right, that Emma will do so much more with Andre, their combination is so sublime, with Emma's unmatchable voice, and Andre's lifetime of showmanship, it can be no other, and I am so much looking forward to seeing and hearing what they do in Dublin next month. This was a brave song, and sung so well with so little backing, it's a clear example of just how strong she is as a performer, it doesn't matter if it's one thin piano, or a 70 plus strong orchestra and choir behind her, she shines, beautifully, and even with this song, which has already raised a lot of comments, she sings it with feeling, and if I'm honest, the world needs to hear the sentiment of some of these words, with the present instability that is so much around us in Europe, the way that Western democracy is operating is very much under question, and so much of what's been taken for granted over the last long number of years is looking very fragile right now, and a better world, well, I have to admit, that's something we all desire, but how we achieve that, that's a very leading question, and I don't think any of us have all the answers, and this song doesn't have all the answers, but it if makes people think, perhaps in a different way, that's no bad thing. This was a special occasion, and Emma once again rises to the occasion, and delivers a song that's very different, and more than a little thought provoking, especially when sung so gently and softly, she's once again been sensitive to the sentiments that are in the song. Thank you once again for your featuring Emma on your channel, it's very clear that she has significantly impressed you, and that you are very much wanting to make sure that as many people as possible are aware of her, and her very unique voice and skills, and for a whole group of people out here in the wider world, we very much appreciate it. You mention in passing Emma's ongoing fight with Gastroparesis, so it's even more important that I put my usual close on this post. Emma's foundation can be found at gastrostars.nl I appeal to everyone reading this channel, subscribers or just readers, if at all possible, please join me in making a (regular) donation to Emma's foundation, to help the work of supporting the sufferers of this illness, and researching this rare and awful disease. The team that is running the foundation includes a surgeon with significant experience of treating patients with this disease, and she can no longer work as a surgeon, as she too has gastroparesis, and in her case, a change in her condition means she can no longer work as a surgeon, so her focus now is on the work of the foundation, and it is their hope that with more attention being paid to the disease, better treatments, or even possibly a cure may be found, and that could mean that people like Emma will no longer be tied to the equivalent of a boat anchor for 22 hours a day. For Emma, to be free to be able to perform for longer periods would be a wonderful result, the fulfillment of another of her dreams, and that would be so good to see happen.

I wonder how it would sound if Andre worked his magic on it. But now she has only that poor piano to support her and I repeat poor. They should not do this. Lara Fabian sings with one pianist as well, but that one is a different level.
