After a long period of other priorities I sailed the Emma Maersk at a WSD again. Many thanks to SMG IJmond for organising this day. Hopefully next steps in finalizing the model will follow soon. A lot of work on the details still needs to be done.

Motor, batteries and radiocontrol equipement would be the priciest thing on that. the rest is fairly simple diy. It for sure does take a certain level of dedication and skills, but it isn't overly complicated. It needs: Thin flexible plywood, watertight glue and colour, some basic woodwork tools, if you have some plans to calculate the dimensions, the weekends of half a year and off you go! Edit 1: If the builder is watching, please don't be offended! I'm quite handy with tools and stuff, and I do some woodwork for fun quite often. That's why it doesn't look all that difficult to make to me. I do totally appreciate your work you did with this wonderful model! Edit 2: left you the 710th like there:)
