Let me end the 147 and 9 darter debate. I don't play anymore but I used to be a much better snooker player than I am a dart player. My highest break was 140 and obviously you can't fluke that. I also was a confident fast player that scored pretty consistently but unfortunately used to break down in the balls when I probably shouldn't have. That's the difference between a very good club player or if you like semi pro player compared to a TV pro player. I started to get hooked on darts at work and home. I eventually started hitting a 180 here and there and a feeling of knowing my way around the board to a respectable standard. One day at home I hit 2 x 180s back to back. Yeah I was buzzing and thought I was Phil Taylor. 😂 I soon found out there was a big difference to playing at home shot after shot compared to playing in a match. I was bang average. (Compared to my snooker where I was a natural potter and could cope playing competitive matches against good scorers like Ali Carter, Stuart Bingham etc. (In Essex comps) I couldn't ever manage a 147. The best I got was the 15th black which I missed on 113. Still I was flowing I didn't bottle it I probably was playing too fast as I was a quick player as said above. In darts though I was average really, but capable to be fair as I could play well sometimes if I relaxed and got my eye in and my confidence was up at home with no pressure, somehow twice I hit back to back maxes and nearly hit the 141 the second time I hit the two 180s. For me that says it all. I came so close to 9 perfect darts because every leg you get a chance especially in practice and I was not close to being as good as darts as I was at snooker. Just my opinion but that's how I feel. Also darts is such a quick game and if you aim correctly on the first dart it can be quite common to follow through with the other two the same sometimes. (Like a first dart merchant as Wayne calls it) Despite the fun debate they are both brilliant games! 👍
@TheAdelaiProject I get your point that for an average player it could be easier , but also for a 147 you need to make 36 consecutive shots while for a 9 darter you need 9 shots . ( just using shots for this point) So there is more chance of making a mistake trying to complete a 147
