When they arrived his face was bruised and he had a bloody nose and so they arrested her. He refused to press charges so she was released from jail after a few hours.

Okay okay, yes, they abused each other but let’s go over this. Emma abused him, hit him, bit him, Evan was very nice and didn’t press charges, but that didn’t stop her, she abused him, and yes, so did he, but he defending himself and that’s not abuse, Evan was nice to Emma about the situation, Emma was just not too great in the thing. Evan did leave her bruised, but let’s remember that was defense against her, we got to see photos of him helping Emma after some stressful situation and he’s still got his injuries in it. It all really started when their neighbours called the police for some sort of fight, finding him with a bloody nose and a bite mark, she didn’t have any injuries visible so she was arrested, Evan refused to press charges.
Let’s not forget she Physically abused him in Montreal, Quebec a couple years ago.. and HE still took her back and tried to make it work. She’s not a prize.

It was most likely mutual abuse or her defending herself from from him but his injuries were more visible at the time since she she was wearing long sweats at the time of her arrest
