I really didn't understand what that woman was, who ran the place..... like *SPOILER* but she was drenched in flowers - and obvious metaphor aside - what *was* she? ate the girls who were killed off for their replacement. is she a witch? i don't get it... But it was really cool. I was truly hooked the whole time... I really didn't know what the final twist would be. It was really entertaining to watch.
totally agree! i was willing to find out more about Milla's character , or at least a quick reference to what the hell she was about :D but i really enjoyed this movie nevertheless
I think the director left it purposefully open to interpretation. We have gotten really spoiled over the last decades with movies spelling out every little detail and holding our hands through lots of exposition, this movie was very refreshing.
I agree with you. I thought this movie was going to be totally different... I think the whole concept was the woman in flowers had to drink the blood from the real girls to stay young and "beautiful" and the replacements where to go back home in better condition than their parents sent them there for if that makes sense. Lol so basically it's supposed to be a paradise where parents send their kids to help them in a way the parents think they need help in. But what they don't know is they aren't getting their real kids back... They're getting replacements who've had surgery to look exactly like them and learn "better behaviors/habits" for them. In a huge a nut shell there's the movie 😂
When I first started watching it I thought it was gonna be very predictable, I'm so glad I was wrong. Also, this was probably one of Emma's best performances.
@@Lucifer0A bro i still loved the movie but it was so obvious she literally wore only floral dresses. One of the dresses literally looked like she was a flower herself
Watched it last night and I really liked it. It's visually stunning and keeps you guessing til the end. There is a twist that wasn't absolutely necessary for the rest of the movie to click, but aside from that it is solid. Definitely recommend it
You can totally feel the female power coming from them, like they're all lionesses who could ripped each other apart but instead, they respect, support and protect each other *It's fucking amazing*
I just got finished watching the movie, and I was so into it! It was not what I was expecting at all. Loved it! 💕👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 I just came to RU-vid bc the ending kinda has me like wait what? But I think I get it now...if anyone can explain the very ending with the bride part... pls share. *Don't read the replies (if I get any)... don't want to spoil it for you if you haven't seen the movie. 😎
Uma killed her husband, then fled the premises. Her clone was downstairs pretending to be her at the time of the murder, exonerating fake Uma and allowing her to live as a rich widow for the rest of her life; real Uma leaves forever.
No im a man, a gay man, and the movie is str8 trash. A wacky vanity project gone horribly wrong. If they were ",molding these girls" why was "yu" allowed to wear spiky headphones,? It made zero sense
I'm actually looking for a video that sheds light on the Paradise Hills universe and or multiverse. I noticed there were some ques were given what their world is like. But I kind of like the backstory of how the two tier society was formed. She had a shirt with a American flag on it at the beginning. So perhaps there was still a United States. But later the upper echelon seemed to dress like royals.
I always thought Eiza González was breathtaking, still do! But why is she annoying me during this interview?! I feel like she's coming off as trying too hard, not so modest.
its like she felt urge to chime in but forgot what she was gonna chime in with mid way and had these weird goggly eyes trying to figure out what am i even doing xDDDD
Its because of Emma. She is very well spoken being a avid book reader. I am amused that I am not the only one that noticed it. Emma has a way of making other women look uncomfortable trying to keep up and failing miserably.
I disagree with alot of these comments. This was a spectacular movie and I did feel empowered. The only thing was the ending.. I need more! When's part 2 coming?
I need a part 2 cause I wanna see what Emma Robert's character will do now that her clone has took on her role as Uma & the real Uma runs off in the end . Please make it happen 💯🙏
Red flag is “the script came with a look book” content should speak for itself and you should get excited for how it will look after you read the text! If they read the script without those visual elements I wonder if they would have signed up for the movie. I doubt it as the writing, character development and thesis is weak. Visually it’s beautiful but beauty only gets you so far
Um... O.m.g... this movie was stinking hot garbage juice in a blender, with toenails, and toecheese. Now drink it. Thats what this movie was like. it had zero direction, the acting was all over the place, the costumes and decor was confusing and looked as if the set people were mainlining peyote, i mean.. if you can come away from seeing this garbled squirrels nest of media saying even one good thing i ask: are you deaf and blind? Thats about the only way. Sorry!!! And it hurt too, because i love all these actresses. 🤦🏻♂️
Were y'all watching the same movie I was...? Probably the most random and unexplained movie of all time. Doesn't make sense, super cliche, blah blah. Empowering women??? Give me a break lol, this movie is just trying to be Hunger Games mixed with The Island 🤦♂️ Ridiculous movie.
Just finished this movie and legit only watched it because, cmon, Emma Watson. But I was very surprised and it’s a great movie, definitely loved the twist ending that wasn’t just a twist for the sake of it, it actually played into the plot really well and I really went “OOOHHHH” when I first realised what was really going on
Where was the other girl? I literally just finished the movie like 15 mins ago. I really do think that this movie is for a younger audience. I think I may be too old to really appreciate it. I thought it was really weird. But some the sets were really gorgeous. I loved the jellyfish-esque tables
I don’t know who that orange girl is but she needs a bit more humble pie. Sitting next to Milla she acts as if she knows everything and could possibly be as wise of a person with so many years in the industry.
it wasn’t a bad movie. it was about rich/famous family’s sending their children to a boarding place to ‘fix it’ into their liking or standard but the place was actually making duplicates of them and killing the original girls.
