A character study of my favorite heroine possible ever--the first female character I've been attached to in quite a long time. This song fits her so, so well, because even though parts of the fandom are constantly criticizing her, we have to remember that she's only human. She's had an incredibly tough past and she's coping with the world in the best way she knows how and learning to love and to open herself up to people, which can't be easy. During her argument with August in "The Stranger," she didn't say "I don't believe that because it's stupid," she more or less said "I can't believe that because I'm terrified of having so much rest on my shoulders"--which is incredibly significant. She's not dense, she's scared, and why wouldn't she be?

Her scene with "The Stranger" by the tree was so telling about her, her past, and her state of mind right now. I agree that she doesn't not believe in the curse because she thinks it's insane so much as she is terrified of all of these people needing her to save them. She has never had anyone need her until she was brought up to Storybrooke. A beautiful video for a wonderful and often under-appreciated character. Thank you.

Thank you! I am so glad that there are people who will stick up for Emma. Good to see the number of fans rising in favor of her character--I think the finale brought on more support for her. I don't blame her for not believing--no one would. And then when she starts to, she doesn't want to embrace the burden--she has her son to think of, as well. He is her first priority. And excellent video--the song and clips work well for it.

Thank you for this vid ! It's so hard to find people who appreciate Emma as a character and she's honestly freaking fantastic and realistic and I don't get why she does get all this hate. She's a normal person, she reflect what most of us would've done if we were in her situation. SO thank you for brilliant vid with fantastic song choice and bunch of great quotes ! :)

Compared to ALL the OUT fan-made videos (and believe me, I've seen a high percentage of them) this one may be my favorite. It's at least definitely in my top 3. :) Thank you so much for making this! I like to re-watch it alot.

Fuck, this is amazing. As the other comment says, it's really hard to find fans who appreciate Emma. She's an amazingly developed character with SO many normal and REALISTIC flaws. She is brilliant. And this video is almost as brilliant as her.

She's a brilliant character, I mean, she must haver learned since she was very young that she had to take care for herself. This whole 'you're the savior' thing is too much, she's insecure about herself and who wouldn't be? I mean, honestly. Her flaws make her wonderful. Congratulations on the song chosen ;)

Ooooh...so good! Just...just so freaking good! I love Emma and this video is perfect for her...she's flawed, she's broken, she's so wonderfully, utterly human and the way you matched the lyrics and the dialogue is just perfect! I for one am so glad to have a female character who's actually not some tough in control-power bitch. It's refreshing to see one that tries so hard and just wants her son back (and Graham but I digress) and she'll do whatever it takes to get that simple goal! Amazing!

Yeah, I haven't been keeping up with House so I'm debating watching the finale just for Jennifer or catching up with the whole series in order. She's amazing! :)

So According to this comments Emma got some hate in the first season. Than people are really stupid. Like they would believe in something so insane. I adore Emma so much from the first episode. The best character from whole show!!

But it's cool for him to be a manipulator and a reprobate who only remembered his duty to his world (and his father) when *he* was in trouble? And I love him, but he DEFINITELY falls under the "better late than never" banner of good works. A+ double standard there! Also, he's not dead; Eion's coming back in season 2, and no need to comment on things that took other people hours just to bash them. Kthxbye. :)
