For all of you shipping Dan and Emma, Downton fans did the same shipping with him & Michelle Dockery because of their "good chemistry". Dan and his wife Susie have been together for over 12 years. He said in interviews that when they met, it was "instant". They have 3 children who are 8, 5 and 1 (the youngest was born after he filmed BATB). He has always spoken lovingly about his wife and kids, and brings them up often in interviews. Instead of wishing he was with Emma, why don't you admire the man for sticking by his wife, and the mother of his children, who has supported him all this time. So few in Hollywood are like him.
I adore men like Dan Stevens who love and respect their wives! He even had Emma to his home to meet his wife and kids! His chemistry with actresses like Emma and Michelle Dockery, have to do with the happily married man inside him because it aids his acting!
ikr-he's so underrated in this. tbh i think he put more work into this movie than any other actor, or at the very least he put in his heart and soul and gave off an amazing performance and deserves way more praise than he gets.
I dub this film Hermoine and Lancelot. Synopis. Hermoine transforms Lancelot into a beast and she won't change him back till she loves him and he loves himself more. Best synopis ever haha
I'm sure she already knew he had a wife since she literally worked with him on a whole movie. I'm sure it came up at some point and wasn't a revelation.
avalokitha It looks to me like she's maybe looking at their publicist. My assumption was that they shouldn't really mention their personal lives in such a big way as it detracts from the love story in the film. She does steer the interview quite sharply back in the direction of the two characters falling in love when she gets the chance.
secretcaptivation See, that's what I was thinking. she looks away almost as if someone was trying to get her attention. (Besides, as adorable as they are together, doesn't Emma have a boyfriend? - then again you never know about rumours).
I think everyone is reading too much into a look, remember these interviews are part of a movie press junket, which is sitting in a room ALL day with different members of the media coming in and out every 5 to 10 minutes and u get asked lots of the same questions all day and that can get tiring,so I think it's that, the look wasn't like a death stare or anything, people just over reacting to a look.
Poor emma apparently people want to see you in couple with boys who are called Dan .... in harry potter : dan radcliffe the beauty and the beast : dan stevens 😂😂😂😂😂
Liyah U yeah. I thought maybe Emma felt Dan kind of said his wife was better at singing than her? Or something. Even though he didn't. Or maybe she just has a crush on Dan haha
I think maybe she just likes the idea of being married (idk) or she likes Dan a tiny bit, I mean who doesn't. I do know that it makes me want to give Emma a big hug though😂😢
to everyone commenting about emma’s face when he mentioned his wife: guys. it ain’t that deep. if you listen carefully you can see there was some sort of commotion going on in the back and she was momentarily distracted by it and it just happened to be when he was talking about that. she does it again a few seconds later. they’re coworkers, adults and certainly not dating. jesus christ do you really have nothing else to do?
0:48 she was really normal, wtf are u saying that she made some faces?? HE is looking at her llike he has a crush on her LOL whatever theyre made a great team i love it EDIT: ok i admit it, she looked so rareee loool, she looked nervous
They are not a real couple. Dan is married. They just worked as a couple on beauty and the beast but they aren't a real couple in real life. If you search up Dan Stevens it will say he is married and he is not married to Emma Watson. there is just over 5 years of age difference between them. They are not a couple but a lot of people, even myself wish they were a real couple but sadly they aren't.
Shania20 I do no want to offend you, but I potentially know Dan Stevens longer, since I'm 38 myself, so I know Dan's personal life. I just couldn't write "a pair of..." In Slovak we have only 1 expression when talking about s.o. or s.t., when they are 2, but in English it sounds like "a pair of... socks", so I used expression "couple" to refer to 2 people.
England 1966 Well remember that the last couple of movies were shot as one big movie, so for the actors and the crew it might have felt just like that, one big movie.
Even talking about Emma’s face when he mentions his wife aren’t noticing how it looks like she’s looking at someone at the side. It feels more like they were meant to keep the conversation on the live story of Belle and the Beast, baring in mind she has a boyfriend and doesn’t mention him. She doesn’t seem angry or upset, but just put off and checking with the publicist/ whoever was at the side to see if it was okay.
I know he's married but it truly seems like something is going on between them! Ik that's terrible and please no hate, I'm not saying he should leave his wife it's just I ship them so hard!😭❤
Oh yes. A very noticeable look of ...(what ?) when Dan mentions his wife. Maybe she , who in her mid twenties, wishes she had a husband or just someone very special in her busy life.
adrianavargova Good for you :) now if you could leave me alone and stop tagging me back in this video all because I thought it was funny and put a laughing face, that would be great!
+Venice Margarette That's not the point. the characters in both versions should at least have french accents but everything has to be Americanised or British and the culture is lost
Ruby MoonWolf why do everyone has to complain about accents or language? the important thing about beauty and the beast (or any movies actually) is the story and the lesson!
+Venice Margarette I literally just said. I get that the main thing is the story but surely the characters should be representative of the country they are from
Is it just me or are other Americans offended by this American classic being Anglocized. Rogue One has been turned into a "British" movie. When American actors take over one of the Harry Potter movies, see how the Brits like that. Are there no American actors to play in American made movies anymore?
Com Prendo Technically the actors should've been french I mean it was set in France. It'd be different if Harry Potter weren't set in England bc they might've needed to use American actors for accents. It all just depends.
Technically, it's an American made classic, part of our heritage. We should preserve and protect our heritage. The prevalence of the English accent in our cinema now will have millions of young Americans believing such an accent is a standard to which we should aspire. Our cinema is tremendously influential in shaping our culture. We should be proud of who and how we are and not aspire to be Brits. TOO MANY BRITS ON OUR AIRWAYS AND IN OUR CINEMA!!! (You're building the wrong wall Trump.)
The original story was written by a French novelist and set in France. That an American company made an animated version of it with American accents doesn't suddenly make it an 'American' classic.
Indeed it does. Novels are adapted and made into movies all the time. The original novel was adapted by an American company and has since become an American classic film. Disney first attempted the adaptation in 1930 and again in 1950, both times with limited commercial success. In 1991 Disney's adaptation was a phenomenal success. It didn't "suddenly" become an American classic. It has withstood the test of time.
