Am i the only one who thinks that "Rainmaker" sounds like a world cup teamsong? :o Seriously i was so mad when Denmark didn't pick this one out to be our choice for that year! we would have had a really good chance of winning! :o
that was one of the best moments in eurovision history.. team spirit..! All the participants together on stage dancing and singing..and then all the audience together..It was so emotional moment..!
I'm proud to be European! Our old continent is such a beautiful place to live, full of history (bad and good), culture and art! The Eurovision Song Contest and European Comunity are two real extraordinary institutions which we should be proud of!! Unfortunatelly has been facing a hard economical crisis for some years now but together we can be strong and overcome of those difficulties! :):)) I LOVE YOU EUROPE!!
This was the best Eurovision. The design of the stage and theme and the production in this is outstanding. The water feature was amazing, and this interval was wonderful. Brings a lot of heart to the artists representing the countries that year and the audience too.
@@igi5791 Also, they was so much hype around Madonna. I hated it. Not because she was there but because that was the only thing the presenters talked about. Måns and Petra did it right by revealing Justin Timberlake at the end of the second semi final.
@@AramMaram1 Israel 2019 was disapointing even the stage at the danish song Election (melodi Gran prix 2020)s stage was bigger litterely its was not the best Israel could have done.
Being there in the audience, this was a wonderful experience. And I love when all the artists join Emmelie on stage. Something so amazing about all these artists representing all these countries all jamming together to the same song. This was such a jovial year for Eurovision.
SethBlizzard I wish I was there! I was sad and angry at the audience in Copenhagen though when Russia came on the stage. The girls were only 17 and shouldn't be booed like that. But overall it was an amazing show
Beyoncé I think, that you US people, should be a part of the ESC musicshow...Beyonce, ...Come to us, we love you....! Well, you dont have a chance , but try, beautifull woman....
Yeah unfortunately Denmark ended up paying way more than what they initially estimated. Unlike Malmo that recovered twice their investment, but 2013 was a crappy and cheap festival compared to the greatness Denmark delivered.
Absolutely breathtaking! Only Eurovision can make all nations dance and even breathe in the same rhythm. Emmelie de Forest is one of my all time favourites!
@@Fassonista yes, I loved 2014 1000 times more than other contests. Stage = amazing. Postcards = really wonderful. Songs = just wow. I still rewatch some of my favourite songs and the interval act, Rainmaker every day!
You should know how many money Denmark spend on that! And then they just tore it down after beacuse they were so bad building... Good show but waste of money
Sofie Wøhlk Yeah, you wouldn't believe how much we wont over budget, jeph rey. The reason tho, is, Denmark really doesn't win that often, so when we finally had the opportunity, we went all in. Do or do not, there is no try.
jeph rey They used over 80 millons on the show. Trust me Denmark had a lot of trouble comming after this. And they just tore it down 4 hours later after spending so much money on it. But I think it was worth it and it's all good now. And thanx!
For me 3:55 when all finalists joined... And 4:13 when I clearly see Azerbaijani and San Marino girls, such cuties and they're talented, sooo underrated 😍
When they started to enter the stage with flags i started to cry. Whole Europe united on a stage. Now we are dealing with coronavirus. We must be united
The only element missing were the non-qualifying semi-finalists. If they had been included as part of the act, it would have been a perfect moment of unity, showcasing that they're all winners regardless of how they were ranked.
@@Gumboliniz Of course, the stage would have been awkwardly over-crowded had that been the case, and it was clearly not set up with such an act in mind. I remember the enormous (and controversal) arena in Baku, though -the one created for Azerbaijan to pretend to be some world power- where the artists were half a mile away from the audience due to the excessive amount of space... that one might have been used better. Still, it's sad that many of these artists actually abandon the premise once they're not-qualified. They should be made an integral part of the show until Saturday night.
I really like the brotherhood feeling from this performance, and imagining that few years ago it was still impossible to have a polish, a french, a spanish, a german, an armenian, a swedish, a slovenian ... so close one to another.
Still watching this is 2021? For a few years that I follow Eurovision, this segment is still, for me, the best moment and representation of unity through music. People joined in singing plus the contestants were behind Emmelie, were just wow. Avid fan here ffom the Philippines 🇵🇭
I actually think "Rainmaker" is so much better than "Only Teardrops": Very Lion King-esque. Shame she didn't compete this year. Would have been a top contender for sure.
This is what Eurovision is all about. World peace and togetherness through music. We need to remember that now more than ever. I'll never forget that night in Copenhagen.
yeah say that to russian, who sees this as weakness for europe like "gay party" etc. stay strong Europe we will win that putler regime just like we won hitlers.. there are so much similarities in these wars.
It always gets so much better when you go back and watch all the contestants dancing with each other. Paula and Ovi dancing with Ilse and Waylon, the Russian twins dancing with Conchita, Valentina just generally looking astonished that she's partying with the other finalists. (For one hot second, it looked like Dilara and Aram Mp3 were dancing together, which would've been an astonishingly diplomatic move, except I think it was Mariya Yaremchuk).
Some other highlights for me : - Valentina kissing Dilara (at the beginning) - Basim and Molly huging (backshot at the end) - the brotherhood between Twin Twin and Pollaponk
Always bring tears to my eyes 😢 Everybody having fun, the audience singing along, and Conchita dancing between Mariya, Aram and the russian girls, that is truely the spirit of Eurovision. A classic ❤
I must say, Rainmaker might be one of the "most Eurovision sounding" songs I have ever heard. If this had entered, it might have won (or at least would have done very well.)
Nikolaj11 Oh, goodness no. South Africa maybe, any country from north Africa, NO NO NO. Corruption, suffering and religious wars are NOT what Eurovision is about.
MAGIC . Can't stop crying! I get so emotional everytime I watch this because it makes me feel so proud of my continent! #MarvelousEurope Greetings from Spain :,)
One of the best moment of eurovision history!!All the singers together, all the countries together,All the Europe together,music,love,dance....Hell i love EUROVISION!!!!
Emmelie,Bellissima e brava ,speriamo l'Eurovision la porti ancora più in alto, continui cosi ..Con la canzone per l'edizione di quest'anno dimostra quanto era ampiamente meritata la vittoria del 2013. Italia ;)
This video makes me emotional as well especially during the very last part where the audience joined the chant. This shows the unity of every participant. Greetings from Pearl of the Orient.
2014 was the best ever Eurovision year! I still remember the day very well.... It was my first time watching the Eurovision and I am a huge fan to this day! I love the Eurovision because of this year and Emmelie de forest will always (in my opinion) remain the best ever winner of Eurovision! Everything was good about this year. the stage was amazing! just everything was amazing (except Ireland should have been in the final lol) but still such a beautiful performance...
+Aine Doc it hasn't been that long.. and also if you think 2014 was the best year you must not know alot about Eurovision. Sure, 2014 was better than 2015 or 2013 etc but it's not as good as some of the older years. example: 1997, 2011, 2010, 2003, 1982, 1988
+Aine Doc o have been watching since 2010 but my first time watching it all the way through was 2014 i was nine then but i was 5 when i watched it in 2010 now im 11 :)
