Paddy and Chas weren't any good for each other. They were together out of necessity because they both wanted to be Parents. Also Paddy's marriages tanked with Emily and Mandy why would he think with Chas would be any different. He reminds me of Harley Davidson Cooper from Guiding Light who married Three Brothers from the same Family or Thorne Forrester from The Bold & The Beautiful who with the exception of Two married all of his Brothers Wives.

OK let's be honest Paddy isn't exactly what you say a gorgeous man but he's got such a beautiful caring heart he's been there for Aaron ever since he was 16 and helped him with all his issues no matter how much Aaron kicked off at him he was his Dad in his heart, he was a Dad to Liv stood by her when she had alcohol issues, when she died he was devastated and supported Aaron through it and made sure Liv got a decent send off bless him he's got a lovely heart and he is there all the time for Eve looking after her all the time, he is loyal and you can trust Paddy.
I love that Paddy himself brought his affair with Tess out and that he thinks he got what he deserved as Chas cheated him. But it's like Rhona said, Paddy's good man and he does deserve better. Paddy made it up to Rhona he gave her his house and everything and was there for her when she was raped by Pierce. He even punched Pierce to the ground. Paddy also supported Rhona and Marlon when he had a stroke. He also looks after Leo. Instead of feeling sorry for himself and playign victim Paddy got up and tried to make it right with Rhona and he eventually did.

So peeved how Charity is standing up for Chas in family loyalty way despite all she has done. How she has broken the Dingle code yet again. What Chas did to Debbie in the past too. So Chas gets to self pity and have Charity on side like a wall to stop others confronting and telling home truths to self pity Chas. Maura being made out by Charity to be the bad guy I don't get. The writers have done a 360 with Charity who would have in the past disowned a Dingle for what chas did and shout home truths at her, been fuming. I guess Charity does not know only 10% of what happened during the affair. Not the Chas basically kicking her son out of the village to keep her secret safe, not her idea of a double funeral so she could secretly morn Al, didn't know of the burner phone, the house Al got for her, him and Eve. Bet she did not know Chas was packed to run off to Al with Eve without a word. Worse still how she was in bed with Al when her mom died. How she lied to Belle about the affair being over when Belle caught her with Al and how when the affair got out she blamed Belle for the backlash. Charity asked 0 questions about it. Would not be surprised if Charity helped her financially to get a good solicitor and play dirty to keep Eve.
I think she should yeah! She manipulated her son Aaron on his own sister Liv funeral to leave the village despite him suffering with mental health issues to protect her dirty secret, when she went to see Al she took Eve and left her in the car what if Eve choked? Chas was busying Al. She didn't think about poor Liv when she died oh yeah and she used Grace's dead memory to get away with the affair still think she is a good Mother?
Charity has a point Moira cheated on her first husband John & Cain! She is no Saint. It is a bit rich for Moira to be so hard on Chas. But I suspect Moira doesn't like Chas.
I find it hard to pity Chas cos she knew what she was doing, I don't think Chas even fancied Al at first, but the point is, Chas put her own feelings first above everyone else who they were both betraying. That saying about love always wins over but when it's a forbidden love, a lot of people get hurt and all Chas does is me,me,me, no wonder everyone is so mad, it's the dishonesty and sneaking around in hotels that is pissing people off

I'm wondering if the reason why Paddy didn't lose his head with Chas earlier before he announced the divorce is because he's remembered when he himself cheated on Rhona. They're all as bad as each other when it comes to cheating and lying although Paddy is the better person compared to Chas. She's slept with more men than anyone else. Why does everyone keep saying that? Yes he did but Paddy didn't blame everyone else like Chas did or manipulate people.
