No, you take them when you’re 16 then go to college for 2 years and when you’re 18 you take A-levels (which I think are the equivalent of Finals?) to get into university :)
If you go to uni that is, if not then you get.......... something from college. And most people who do A-Levels and go to uni will just do A-Levels at Sixth Form at their high school, so it's basically just like doing an extra two years of high school just with; less people in your year, free-periods due to having way fewer lessons (especially in second year), and no uniform (at least in most schools)
I am trying to rap this around my head. You attend school through 16 years old,. You attend College for two years. Then you take another level of course that are call A levels. You graduate from “high school” then you attend college again? In America you attend elementary, to middle, then high school. Where you can take college course and apply those credits to your future credits in college.
