One of my late mother's favourite songs. She came from Cavan, and its wonderful to hear it sung by a man from Cavan. She left Ireland in 1950, but never lost her accent to the day she passed away, nearly a year ago.

And his beautiful voice.. playing his guitar,, singing a sentimental Irish song.. so very beautiful this video is .. truly captured the soul of this beautiful man.. Emmet has gone on to sing many types of songs.. including high opera .. he certainly has the talent for it.. have followed his remarkable journey.. Even so, quality to me means far more than quantity.. and singing a simple song in an extraordinary way..as Emmet does here., and in other favorites such as Danny Boy and Will You Go Lassie.. that is the Emmet who shines so for me..
