Hi Emmy, thanks for the great videos! I'm an Irish student living in France for the year and I've been enjoying the french snacks/sweets on offer. The only problem is they're so delicious (and addictive). Your reviews are very well made, merci beaucoup :)

I'm part French and had lots of holidays in France to visit my grandparents so it's fun to watch all the UK and France eats. An aperitif is also just a friendly drop of booze and a good chat, it doesn't have to be part of a larger meal.

The dark chocolate Mikado were among my favorite sweets as a kid. I was eating them every time when we were driving to my grandparents. Aw... memories.

Don't believe it,we have stupid conversations😂 In reality,a lot of product aren't famous and we don't really eat those things,it's supermarket and no national/principal product😊(Like a false Fluff,Hershey chocolate,reeses...you know?)

The punch of salt in the Petit Beurre or in the Roudor is related to the French butter sometimes being made with salt in it. It's quite a debate between French people, about wether the butter should be salted or not... But cooking a sweet pastry with salted butter is AMAZING. I'm French, and I'm on the salted butter side, obviously :3

We used to have Petit Beurre biscuits in the UK but they stopped years ago. I really wish they'd bring them back as I've got a fantastic recipe that a lady from Hungary gave me to make a wonderful chocolate rum biscuit cake that needs no cooking, it's called Kalterhunt - translated it means cold dog! A weird name for a delicious cake!

"petit beurre" litterally means "lil' butter" in french, so yeah... it explains the taste :) I used to have some when I was a child, so much memories :3

if you like those sour cream and onion chips, with their slightly sweet flavor, you might like Sour cream and onion goldfish. They have a sweet tang and have kind of a chivey flavor

Ahhhh crèpes with Roquefort delicious ! Roquefort is one of the most concentrated french cheese in term of taste, even sone of us french people do not appreciate it !

This is more a dessert than a snack/sweet but i recommend you to try the Chestnut spread, from the brand Clément Faugier. With fromage blanc or petit-suisses* it's heaven on earth *or any yogurt-like product

i wish alot of people in North America had your sense of optimism, like how well you receive the falling of snow. People in Canada hate the snow, even those who don't own a car.

I'm warm and toasty all year round. xDDDD I HOPE it was even just a little bit cold, one of the downsides of living in the tropics sometimes. Also, we have most of those snacks here! :D I couldn't believe it hahaha. But I guess it helps that Cambodia used to be a French colony and there are still a lot of French here? xD

J'suis d'accord pour les saint-michel, les petits beurre mais le reste est quand même vachement commercialisé dans le reste de l'Europe, ce n'est pas typiquement français mais tu as raison, le fromage c'est vraiment notre truc ! En tous cas, tant mieux si tu as apprécié ce que tu as mangé !

Hi Emmy !! I'm French and I know every thing you ate \(^o^)/ It's so funny to see a non french people eat those kind of stuff haha A tiny tip for you : My friend and me usually eat "Le petit beurre" of Lu, with Nutella on it and it's soooo good ! You have to taste it >_* (ps : I don't like mini crepe, I think, it's a little bit, écoeurant (in french because the translation in english is disgusting but that not the word i was looking for..) Have a nice day !
