@@joes7930 No, not all of them make it but some contestants who did not win built incredible careers, one example: Jennifer Hudson. She lost and she ended up with an Oscar. There are others whose names I don't recall but I remember their faces and they made it. Also, remember that not all singers who have a good career are celebrities. There are many out there who have their own fans and go on tour and make a living, a very good living.

I just absolutely love this performance. Her tone, her inflections, her delivery, her take on the song that makes it totally hers. It was amazing. Her best performance imo. I got goosebumps when she sang « bridge » at 0:54. The way she ended with the pronunciation of the word and the inflection.

I thought Julia would be in top 5 but Emily does have an ability to connect with the audience that Julia doesn’t have and Emmy seems to really understand the spine/core of the song. I always understand every word she sings and how she feels about the person she’s supposed to be singing to. I think a lot of it’s due to the arrangements that she’s choosing. Her skills as a songwriter are being utilized even when it’s not a song she wrote.

The only reason Emmy made it was because all of her family and probably all of her hometown voted for her. Nothing is special about her voice. She is not Idol ready, the girl is still in a shell. During the dance portion, she said she was going to dance in her other performance, SHE NEVER DID. If she was not loretta lynn's grandaughter, she would have never gotten this far, yes im butt-hurt the other two girls did not go through. Idol is never fair though
