fun fact about the mcr clip: they went on right after Slayer so there were a bunch of metalheads in the crowd that were pissed about this “sissy emo band” playing. gerard ended up changing the setlist to play some more of their aggressive songs to say f u to the crowd, including Thank You For The Venom. they did the same festival again after they released Danger Days and kicked ass (they also played some songs with Brian May) i know wayyyy too much about mcr so i thought i should spread my useless knowledge to all the normal functioning members of society out there.
I don't know if it was this one, but I remember Lonnie talking in an interview that he was at a BVB concert way before he was in the band and he said that Andy was mad at a fan for heckling him, and Andy nearly leapt on both Lonnie and the fan
Watching Gerard way dodge a water bottle getting thrown at the band and flipping off everyone who was throwing water bottles at them while holding a UK flag is oddly impressive 💀.
MCR handled it professionally, Green Day smashing the guitar is cool, too, especially as the gesture wasn't directed at their audience but it was more like a protest thing for having to cut their set short while people were clearly enjoying themselves, which is a pretty punk rock /anti-establishment thing to do. Some of the others were too much, kinda like the rock star version of driving an aggressively loud car.
When I say waste, I mean that the person could still use the guitar, but they chose to break. Just that is stupid enough. I don't see the necessity of breaking it, even as a form of expression. There's better ways to express yourself, like playing the music itself, or something. I see that as an rude (because they act like a little kid) and ungrateful behavior, when some people don't even have the opportunity to buy an instrument.
honestly black veil brides had the best “freakout” or whatever, honestly i would shit my pants too if he screamed at me like that💀 but man at the same time it was cool asf
I love how much Andy has matured on his ways of thinking and acting towards others' anger. He handles it pretty well now than how he used to. He has even said himself that he used to think causing chaos and fights was part of the rock 'n roll life, Now he just ignores those people unless they cause harm to his fans! LOVE HIM!!!!
I think they just got a bit sick of all the needless hate they used to get. It must have been super annoying. N he stopped drinking too coz of stuff like this.
you should have put the clip where gerard was shaking with anger after hearing about some weird guys telling girls to show their boobs for backstage passes, he was super mad. he told the girls to spit in their faces (as he should.)
It really hurt me when I saw Gerard with a big smile in his face while he was going on stage, and the crowd was throwing all these bottles to the guys. I mean, MCR looked with a great attitude, and the crowd was so cruel by doing that :(
The mcr show, slayer was originally going to play but dropped out, so mcr was replacing them. So a bunch of angry metal heads bottled the emo rock band, but then They kinda loved it by the end. “This is gonna go down as my favourite my Chem show ever”~ Gerard Way
@@JinxedJackalop3 It’s sort of massed referred to as emo, but as someone who listens to emo music regularly it’s definitely way too harsh to be emo rock. I get “emo” refers to emotional lyrics (which pretty much goes for most rock music, so nevermind that) I would categorize it as hard rock. I used to listen to bands like taking back Sunday and mayday parade when I was younger, though I’ve definitely developed a taste for MCR’s music over time.
If u watch the whole mcr reading performance the hostility gave them the energy to play the best show theyve ever played and yeah they won the crowd over at the end😂
Andy Biersack shouting "HERE'STHE THING!" Lives in my head rent free. My sides. One of the best music moments ever. I don't even care for the band that much but he's my hero for that.
andys reaction was totally valid and insanely badass lmfao he said ALL the right things. i love bvb, they are my favorite band and andy is such a big inspiration to me. andy has definitely matured with handling rude fans like that since then and im insanely proud of him!!
My sister and I got paint thrown at us once. We aren't even a band. She was a school of rock student at the time. My dad and the guy who threw the paint got into a fight and the guy who threw the paint went "away" for a while for assault.
@@saltpeter7429 that's kind of like in comedy movies when a drunk dad getting mad at 5 year olds playing baseball as if it was major league or something.
You actually are a rockstar Johnnie! Not just in your Mum’s heart lol you’ve won the hearts of your online family too 🖤 BVB freakouts are iconic lol, I enjoyed this video a lot, your reactions give me life! I’d like to request more please hehe
Billie Joe Armstrong actually went into rehab after his meltdown, and allegedly doesn't even really remember the incident because he was to drunk, according to his biographical audio book "Welcome to my panic" (which I can really recommend listening to, it's also got some nice unplugged acoustic version of some Green Day songs).
Gerard Way is my hero . That was for slayer he said they were piss bottles but once they started playin people were actually singing a lot n shit rockin out. MCR really is the best band . Nobody can change my mind
Look at how much taller Andy Biersack is than the rest of the crowd lmao. Also one of the times Axl Rose left the stage, started a HUGE riot that left the arena onto the streets back in the 90s.
I saw Black Veil Brides at Warp Tour forever ago and the audio was horrible but it wasn't the band's fault. It was something wrong with the equipment. Andy apologized to the fans and they pushed on despite the audio. The put on a helluva a show. Idk what that guy said to piss him off but it must have been bad. This was also the same tour they were playing with Asking Alexandria and Danny Warsnop had that meltdown at a previous show.
Not a band freak out but a funny story. The Foo Fighters won't play Big Me Live because they get pelted with Mentos. They decided to play it on a lark about 10 years after deciding not to play it live. Someone in the crowd happened to have Mentos and threw it at them. I doubt they'll ever play it live ever again.
If "fans" stalk/harass/assault people in bands....they deserve a good kicking. It's all ILLEGAL anyway....a LOT of "fans" are criminals. If you follow THEM around, give THEM 0 privacy, photograph THEM wherever they go, discuss their lives in intimate detail all day long & prevent THEM from having relationships/friendships/doing THEIR jobs....see how they react! They can't take FIVE minutes of it 😅
Just seeing Andy Biersack during a concert intimidates me and I've been a BVB fan for years. I never understood the "hate watch" crowd, why pay for a ticket of a band you don't like?
9:00 It wasn’t staged because at the time Billie Joe was on a lot of drugs at the time & was writing song lyrics 24/7 that kinda messed him up, or at least that’s what he said years later. He also said he had mixed feelings about it, like kinda feels bad about it but he also doesn’t regret it because he said he was at his breaking point & if he kept on going things would’ve ended up worse The breakdown also made his bandmates & managers getting him into rehab. I can’t blame the dude honestly & agree with you that it’s a green day thing to do
My chemical romance know how to keep their temper and honestly gerard way sticking his finger up to the crowd is the furthest he would go to losing his temper at a show
I would love to see you do something with BVB (or Andy's solo project). I agree that Andy's reactions here were justified, even if the wording could have been better in the last one. Andy has addressed this super well since then.
Hey how are you holding up Johnnie? I hope everything is getting better, even just a little bit. You are amazing and it makes me happy when you post bc I know I will always smile at least one when I watch your vids. Anyways I know you probably won’t acknowledge this but I love you and can’t wait for your next song to come out❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ keep going!
My band opened for Crazy Town (and a few other bands) a few months ago, 2 days later the vocalists were in the news for a fist fight at the next venue on the tour lmao. Absolutely wild. Both of the singers are literally like 5'3" as well which was hilarious to watch the one hop out of his massive Cadillac Escalade that was covered in Crazytown stickers
All the freakouts aside, it's cool to see Johnnie talk about metal and punk, I used to kinda consider myself emo but I'm more of a metalhead anyway, I've always been in the metal scene a lot more so it's cool to se Johhnie do videos reacting to Marilyn Manson and other non emo bands and metal bands I listen too, even though I though Marilyn Manson was gonna light that guy's water bottle on fire like he did with that bible XD
NGL the BVB one kinda shook me cuz I've heard Andy Biersack is genuinely one of the nicest guys in rock. I respect him for standing up for his bandmates like that.
Andy is so intimidating yet so wholesome. I love BVB so much 😭😭 His voice, his insults, all of it. I’ve had the biggest crush on him since 6th grade (11-12yo) and I’m in college now and graduated HS in 2022 (I’m 19yo now) 😂😂😂 I also love MCR and had a crush on Gerard Way❤❤😂😂 I also loved Green Day
Now I could be wrong BUT the last clip with bvb Andy had a whole speech prepared about the song they won for and the meaning behind the song and how it was about his grandfather who was in the army so when they got booed it made the situation a whole lot worse
I saw bvb live and actually met andy He's so tall but far from scary if I'm honest. In the show he stopped it cos someone passed out. Made sure they were ok
What’s kind of hilarious is, I seen Manson in Ohio in 96 when he was starting to finally get recognition and we were right up front and he was throwing water on us, spitting at and on us, ripping up bibles and throwing them at us, cutting himself and trying to flick blood on us and he complains about having a water bottle thrown at him…….😏
I met Gene Simmons and his whole family at the playboy mansion and holy shit dude is massive! Super sweet guy, his wife was kind, daughter, son, all of them super chill, really kind, but holy hell dude was HUGE! Haha I would never try and pull something he would be one n done, one hit, life over… He would destroy somebody 😂 I also think he was wearing massive platform shoes, so of course he seemed very tall in person. He was just a big dude in general are not in a bad way. He doesn’t seem like someone who would do anything to hurt someone, he truly was so kind, I mainly talked with his wife and daughter, anyways that moment has always stuck with me! I was taken back at how tall and big he was in person! True legend
It is pretty ridiculous for people to cop out and throw bottles, or slander, or whatever to a band they're at the concert for. I mean, granted, I don't think a whole lot of people will go to a concert just to convey their distaste for the performer, they're probably with their partner or friends or whatever. Even still, out of respect for not only the band, but the individual or individuals you are there with, you should just hold your tongue. If ya can't do that, decline the invitation.
This is so late but as someone who has unfortunately had laryngitis, i can not imagine singing. I couldn't even speak, and whispering just made it worse, drinking water felt like knives, eating food was worse. The only time i was able to consume food or water was after i had taken pain meds. I think in the 2 weeks i was down with it i lost like 5kgs, my skin was dull and dry, my stomach hurt from hunger, my throat hurt more. Goodness it was awful.
2:36 I saw crazy town cuz he opened for Powerman5000 and during his set he was yelling nonsensically and after his set he was tweeking and talking to himself of the feild behind. Bro needs help. Yeah there were like 12 people there for his time lol
I Absolutely love ur videos these were great well in the moment they were probably not great lol but ur narrating is amazing and hilarious keep up the great work ☺ we love you ❤🖤❤🖤❤🖤❤🖤
My mother actually went to a guns 'N roses concert years ago when she was younger, someone threw a water bottle at axels roses throat and he walked off stage and they left. Im pretty sure metallica played after them if i remember the story correctly
not a meltdown or anything cuz he ended up thinking it was funny and going back on stage but brendon urie from patd got bottled and ended up passing out and he thought it was funny and after he felt better he kept preforming
Johnnie is the most emo fucking person ever I don't care what nobody else thinks I love you Johnnie love the video keep making good content love you forever ♾️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🔥
there’s literally a video of what billie joel armstrong could’ve done in one minute 😭😭😭 i understand the freak out and i see it everywhere and it’s still so funny when mike started destroying his bass too 💀💀
A metal band I was in opened for Crazytown. They arrived drunk and set up late and delayed the whole show, and it had been two hours since the previous act was onstage and Crazytown still wasn't on, the hired musicians who were probably in their 20's were standing there with an awkward "sorry" demeanor waiting for the drunk lead rapper/singer whatever. Half the crowd left and went to Denny's. It was after midnight and we were hungry.
Growing up over the years……I just realized, that all the hate Nickelback gets is unnecessary. And I don’t get why they get shit on a lot. There are tons of worse musicians (as in scumbags that actually deserve condemnation) out there.
Billie Joe Armstrong also dived into a crowd to fight someone. I believe a man was trying to assault a young girl and Billie got pissed and jumped off the stage and into the crowd.
