No one I know will ever realize how wonderful these emo mixtapes are on the RU-vid but you, the person reading this Drink some water and have a wonderful day
Brings me back to right after I graduated high school and was lost all alone and I find this and sat on top of a hill and stared out and tears just flushed things changed I love this they took it down thank you for bringing it back
Yea same man. Said perfectly, totally relate, I was right there too. Graduating was rough. Cheers from over here as well as well, and here's to better days ahead to both a you
Dude I grew up with this music Im 29 now until last year I was working at a bar moved away from home was living the get lit life and then I met a girl we got serious moved in together changed a lot of my young ways Im 29 now let’s just say I turned my basement into a bar and my girl respects my man cave so I come down here as I am now to get drunk af specially during quarantine .. and listen to all my old school Midwest emo !! Which honestly is the best most heartfelt while still keeping that punk troubled kid vibe and sound to it !!! I love Illinois !!!!! I love the Midwest !! Party on y’all!!!
I made three burned CDs of this mix for my two college roommates and myself so we'd each have something to share and remember each other by. I listened to it on my drive home the day I moved out and was crying while singing along for pretty much most of the trip. Shoes (the sneaker song) in particular just made me absolutely bawl. Surprised I didn't cause an accident. I was quite bummed when the original upload was taken down since I'm sure others have sweet memories associated with these songs. Glad to see it's back up where people can enjoy it.
The edit with the riff from The summer ends and the ending of stand by me always moves me to tears cuz damn. It captures the essence of what that bittersweet ending meant with Chris and how that last summer, that one last real summer, it felt like they were at the top of the world and nothing could stop them together. Sure, they were able to get on with their lives, as we all do, and we hope to meet ppl along the way that give us that similar feeling, but nothing will feel quite like how that summer ended.
I used to listen to this kind of music with my friends back in my home town, but now that i've moved away and grown up this mixtape feels more like a time capsule than anything. Great stuff.
Thank you so much for bringing this back, I actually cried when it was taken down, and then clumsily tried to mix the soundbites and music for americ anfootball and Oso Oso
Man midwest emo music is such a nostalgic thing for everything i havent even experienced yet, its amazing what music can do to you, i feel sad but happy because of what ive managed to do so far
It’s crazy to me that before last year I never heard any music like this being from the southwest United States this music is perfect for the long drives across town and warm night’s not to mention the desert landscapes make these songs hit so different
I have a playlist of just these mixtapes on rotation for days when I wanna turn off all the lights and wallow in the deepest pool of misery imaginable. In short, 80% of the calendar year.
wish i wasn't a literal infant when emo was popular. not that i can't enjoy emo just because it isn't mainstream, just pisses me off that the only thing i remember from back then is the music. wasted childhood.
If someone knows where any of the audio clips/dialogue if you would be a saint could you please post the where they are from because the files are on point and I would just like to know. Also I ask because I can't find them at all.
man i do not agree with the suffering thing with steve carrel. These years, my suffering years, are NOT the best of my life lol. Ive wanted to die and have thought about suicide daily for years. Ive been alone for most of these years without any good friends or no friends at all. I am not gonna look back on these at all. Im gonna hate them. and guess what. I'm still making myself into who I am. These years didn't do anything for that. they've just broken who I was, and I'm gonna rebuild into something good. good songs, but sorry steve carrel, that's some bad advice.
It may be and it may not be. Sounds like you haven't had enough time to find out; you may be surprised just yet. What doesn't kill you, makes you stronger.
@@ben_the_botanist got to agree, some of my favorite moments were when I expierence some joy during the times I wanted to die. Op just didn't have a good friend with them. Because fun when you want to die is a lot more memorable then when you are doing normal
@@hectorhellcat7783 totally agree with you except, I don't think you need friends to have good moments; once you learn to love and live by yourself the friends come naturally imo. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-k7X7sZzSXYs.html
