I think it's time to start separating music (think harmony+melody) and sound design (what we hear here). Most of us with toys do a sound design, not music.

Can of worms right there. Here are a couple of potential definitions of music: 1. "the art of combining vocal or instrumental sounds (or both) to produce beauty of form, harmony, and expression of emotion". 2. the science or art of ordering tones or sounds in succession, in combination, and in temporal relationships to produce a composition having unity and continuity. In my view music is whatever you want it to be. I can hear melody all around me, in the strangest of things. I just enjoy listening to everyone's creative output.
