From Lantis' Love Live! Nijigasaki High School Idol Club 5th Live! Nijigasaku Basho Next TOKIMEKI Day 2 number 6 Written, composed, and arranged by tofubeats Singer Moeka Koizumi www.amuse.co.j... English subs by me
her voice is so strong but it really sounds like shes struggling here.. i feel so bad for her, moepi is so talented, i want her to reach for the stars and further!!! im cheering for you ♡♡♡♡
she put her whole heart into this performance and you can see it on her face, i agree with other comments about this song not being the proper range for her. i love her
man i already cant sing this song normally without getting out of breath, let alone with intensive dance and performing in front of so many people... love live pls treat ur seiyuus better and dont just throw 100 layers of autotune over them in the bd
I found lovelive does not really try to fit for the seiyuu's capabilities when they compose their songs. MoeP is doing great in songs from Revue Starlight because the composers leaves enough time for her to breath in, not really for lovelive though.
literally revstar is the example to follow when it comes to writing For the seiyuu like just listen to an untreated rendition of sekai wo hai ni suru made satohina does not MISS
harmoe performances are also well-composed for performance. It's such a shame, sometimes I feel that they care more for the character than the seiyuu - like they put pressure on seiyuus to sing and dance in-character, which doesn't translate as well in lives. So many variables apply to live performance as opposed to studio recording: they need to project their voices more, the mics can falter and/or cut out, they need moments to breathe which some songs don't offer (see: Motto ne!), there's movement interfering with their singing, and sometimes they are being given vocal cues from their earpieces. I understand why Kinchan gets so stressed out from performing...
@@MiharuEndoh1 i mean liella and nijigaku are happening simultaneously and the earliest liella songs predate this one so it's really just a matter of tofubeats' coomposition and ppl either being unaware of or ignoring the strain on moepi
@@k4eru20 tbf, the amount of effort they are putting into liella is way more than any other previous group which i think is why they sound much stronger. However, I dunno why and maybe they are, but it seems like vocal training is something that idols tend to put on the back burner. Sayurin was literally dying when performing a few weeks ago cuz it's so vocally dependent on her. It's like LL is looking for talent, but then after they're like figure it out on your own. Or maybe vocals isn't the main highlight because they keep composing suwa to sing these ungodly high notes she just can't fucking hit and i don't know why nobody is changing that.
as someone who's done a decade of vocal training, it hurts to listen to this live because i can feel how terrible it is for her voice and how painful it must be to try and force through a range that's not suited to her as well as a melody that's not good for live performance. and she's gotta wear a smile thru strenuous choreo to boot... i wish tofubeats and the vocal director had put more effort into matching the song to her because it's clearly not working as is moepi love forever 😔💚 treat my girl right
Even having heard this not live, I never liked this song at all. It felt to me like it didn't know what it was doing with itself musically (The weird jumps between Japanese traditional music and something like D&B and something like dubstep). Even with watching this performance and not having the insight to vocal training you do, I can't comfortably watch this. It's been a struggle to get halfway through. Moepi is clearly struggling vocally, but I also think she looks incredibly sad and/or frightened. Sure, the dress is pretty on her... but I don't feel like it, the song, the concept, the dance, the character and the seiyuu mesh well at all. It's an utter mess.
@@lolnamelollastname9788 i could not agree more about the song actually. from the beginning i always felt like the instrumental had weirdly pitchy synths, lacked flow and energy, and modulated way too often to be warranted. i feel like the base concept of mixing trad + d&b was really interesting and i can hear where it could've gone but the final product feels severely rushed and unpolished. it just doesnt complement moepi and her skill at all.. if you listen to her live performance of Hoshiboshi no Kizuna or Pen : Chikara : Katana the difference is like night and day
@@lolnamelollastname9788 I thought I was only one who noticed this. When this song was presented, I wrote a similar comment in one community, but no one agreed with me and didn’t even "like" it
You can tell this song isn’t in her range and she’s really struggling to stabilize her voice. It doesn’t help that this song leaves absolutely no time to breathe at all so she can’t get a good breath to support herself. And the dance on top of that too? I feel bad for her.
Moepi look so pretty that’s all it matter~I like this song a lot even though she struggles mostly it felt really genuine to listen to her live singing voice
This son is already hard to sing sitting at home with an off vocal to back you up. Imagine having to perform a dance and sing WAY out of your range in front of thousands of people man....i feel so bad for her. I almost tear up watching her suffer like this
Hey just to clarify, though this is a pretty rough performance every other time I've seen Moepi perform this song live she's absolutely killed it. She's one of the best performers LL has seen and this is one of her best.
@@Ficojepet oh I meant the other live performances without the voice correction in the blu-rays, I honestly think the blu-rays sound really weird because of how excessive the voice correction is
Althrough some of you think that she shouldn’t sing the song like this that doesn’t fit her, I think oppositely😢 I love her high note very much. I love this song
we all know how good of a singer moepii is but this chorus and bridge of this song is just not her range. they better stop ripping my girl’s vocal cords like what did to suwawa.
