Yo Frankie, Im 21 and I really look up to you as a man and the way you stayed calm and colective for Alex, and how you gave her a shoulder to cry on and let her know it was going to be okay and that her health and the babies health was all that mattered. I never really had any male figures in my life that showed me what a good relationship looks like, and watching how you showed up for Alex, kinda shows me the type of man I want to be for my future family one day, so thank you and congrats on becoming a Dad.

Damn, Jonathan you made me cry a bit. Sorry for the late response. Just always try to think what is the most respectful thing I can do in this situation no what it is. If you lead with that type of kindness you will always be happy with the choice you make. I'm thankful for this message and wish more 21 year olds would be as mindful as you are about how and who you want to become. Not saying it's me but that should be there role model but I hope for all younger men to find positive, well mannered, and thoughtful people to look up too. Although things didn't go as you wanted...she was SO healthy and big BECAUSE you did everything right.. And that just meant she needed to come into the world with a difference plan. It often times happens like that with children. You didn't fail.... You actually succeeded far more than you could have imagined. I'm a dude and can only imagine what a female has to go through from conception to birth and afterwards. But one thing I understand is, failure would be a parent(s) not doing everything they can to bring a life into this world in the safest way possible for the health of that life. Open the flood gates! You got me crying early Frank when you said "We're about to have a baby" and you looked like you were about to cry. I think i'm going to have a headache I've cried so much! lol She's so beautiful! You're a natural Mama Alex! You are doing such a great job! I'm sorry your experience wasn't good! Congratulations! I had two c-sections (over 30 years ago). I know how hard it is. But it’s not your fault. There’s nothing wrong with you. There are lots of times plans don’t turn out the way you want, but your baby is so beautiful. And you’ll feel strong soon! (Probably by this time you do!) Hang in there. Your doing great momma!

My first birth was the same up until the c section. I escaped that but it didn't help the way I felt. I still felt exactly like you described. Call better help and keep talking through it. I had post partum depression because of my disappointment. But I can tell you, now that my first is about to turn 29, it loses its effect on you relatively quickly. And my next 2 births were natural at the birth center. I know alot of people who have vbacs. So don't give up on a birth your way in the future. Much love and light and healing❤🥰💗💕

What a beautiful story, which you share with many women including myself. What devastating moment when I was told C- SEction. I kept reminding myself that a healthy baby and healthy mommy was end game. Today my twins are 26yo. Not to be discouraging by my C section scar hurt on and off for many years. I hope medicine is better today and your body can heal completely much faster. God Bless.

First, CONGRATULATIONS!!! Everly is beautiful!! Second, you IN NO WAY failed. So you had a c-section. That’s not a fail. You succeeded in bringing a healthy baby into the world and you are both doing amazing!! That’s HUGE!! You are so fortunate to have such a loving and caring partner who loves and supports you every step of the way, too! You 4 are a beautiful family. Rejoice in all the beauty and fortune rather than feeling less than because of what didn’t go to plan. I understand you completely beautiful Alex. 53 years ago I gave birth to my daughter after 54 hours labour, and to this day I feel that I failed her (despite knowing that I didn’t ). Counselling was unheard of then so I was just left to deal with my feelings alone. Please get some help sweetheart, it is imperative that you know that you did not fail and even though you were denied your dream birth, it doesn’t make you any less a mother. You brought a beautiful child into the world who will grow strong like her mumma not because of how she made her entry but because she entered! Wiping my tears and praying for you 🦋

Congratulations on a beautiful baby girl 👶. I had to have an emergency c-section. I was bleeding and couldn't get the bleeding to stop. My son was born 6 weeks early. So grateful to everyone at the hospital and my son is now 44 years old. Bless you. I know it's hard to believe but everything gets better. Take care of yourself and Everly.

Just remember you delivered a healthy baby, our bodies don't always work the way we want, it's like van life, plans change. Never let anyone make less of your birth story because you had a c-section. You did all the work and labored and now you have added work of recovering from surgery while learning to have a little one dependent on. Transition is hard. It will get better, and your body will heal. For bow all you have to do is take care of yourself and your baby and let others take care of you. Good job Alex! And good job to Frankie because he looks like he's doing a great job as a dad and partner. 🎉❤

Oh Alex, it’s not always the way you wish labor and delivery to go. The best part is you and Everly are both healthy. Frankie, you’re the best! The best support and calm in a storm. Some midwives give people ridiculous and unrealistic expectations when doing birth plans, it makes women feel like a failures when there is no way to control anything that happens. Its a crock of shit. You both need to have an understanding of all that might happen and know what your priorities are. You made a fricken baby! you're a goddess.

Yeah. Our midwives were great they explained to us all the things that could go wrong and could happen. They were very open with us. I think the internet might have helped create a false idea of the one birth plan. But you are totally right a freaking baby was born 🤩🥰😍

No one has said this, but to keep this beautiful PERFECT bundle safe, just make sure and tighten the shoulder straps so there’s no slack in them. ❤❤ you did everything RIGHT. Do not let anyone or anything make you feel otherwise. 🎉🎉🎉

Firstly, congratulations on your daughter. Alex, man (and woman) make plans but God laughs at them as HE knows what's best. Don't feel to bad about going the final route to bring your baby safely into the world, THAT proves you're a great Mum already. Please take the recovery easy and if you need to cry, just let it out. It's the best thing you can do for all 3 of you. Frank and you will be amazing parents. Stay safe and PLEASE take help from the family as it will strengthen all the bonds stronger than before.

Congrats to both of you! I had a c-sect with my second and felt it was traumatic, too. You aren't alone in that. Like, why do they make us stay awake for that? That made it so much worse. So glad you got to spend some time in the hospital before being sent home. The US is so bad. They rushed me home exactly 24 hrs after mine. I was so not ready. Hang in there with the emotions. Thank you for being so raw. It's not always puppies and sunshine, but we'd all do it all over again, and often do, lol.

There is no way you could have changed the beautiful outcome of the soul you brought into this world. Been exactly there with my first born. My daughter was too big so had the emergency c-section due to the same reason of the baby’s bowel movement. Baby was too big to come out the garage door so the roof was opened to bring her into the world. Mom spent many nights in the NICU in Kingston after the birth. Scary moments but remain strong it is just the beginning of a long path to the baby reaches adulthood and then it a whole other set of issues and rewards

Alex you followed your plan, and that's why when things didn't go as planned you were flexible for your beautiful baby girl. You, and Frankie followed what you always preach. 😆😆😆 I love this, I'm so glad you think we're funny enough to split my belly open lol The pressure on the incision was actually really nice at first, especially when walking, I needed the belly belt to go anywhere. Now you and me are in the sunroof club together. Snuggle your girls from us! And you were 100% right, I am okay ❤️

Not to fault Alex. You have a beautiful girl! The surgery is no fun... Agree! The rollercoaster ride is normal either way ... Everly just needed help. Proud of you.
