This grandad was overwhelmed with emotion after he found out his new grandson is going to be named after him.
Stay at home mum Amber Ates, 40, from Santee, California, US and her partner Richard Murphy, 36, are due to have a child in March 2022.
Amber visited her dad Warren Ates, 60, on August 24, 2021 to reveal that the new baby would be named after him when he’s born.
Warren opened a parcel that contained a baby onesie which revealed the new addition will be named Michael Warren Murphy.

My dad will never get to meet his grandson , He passed away a few years ago at 47. So my husband and I talked about it , We are giving our son my dads name as a middle name. I know he would be so happy about it. RIP dad we all still love you! 💔

I was given my grandfathers first name, and my dads middle name. Never got to know my grandad, he passed a year & a half after I was born. I vaguely remember being at the funeral, but didn't understand what it was at the time.
