Emotional Ken Livingstone speech after London Mayor election 

Ken Livingstone always speaks the truth, we could do with good old red Ken on the world stage.

It is such a sad day for London; millions of londoners are gonna have a hard(er) time as a result of Ken's defeat at the ballot box. It's very rare that we get a chance to choose between such obvious good and ill and it's an extra shame when we choose the latter. My heart does go out to Ken, after such an illustrious career, defending working people against the forces of market capitalism which cause us such pain and ultimately end in increased misery for the majority.

I met Ken Livingstone in 1983 at Portsmouth Guildhall when a Labour Party conference was held for Labour Councillors from across the United Kingdom. And I was a Labour Party Steward at the said conference. He was a very very pleasant person. He would of made a great statesman and if we had them he would of been a GREAT President.

as usual it was a good speech by decent guy Ken Livingstone. Ken Livingstone is to speeches as to what the fantastic Elton John is to music.

Ken has learnt a harsh fact of life. You Only live once. Wanted to recreate his own early life one more time.Better off out of it Ken. Enjoy your dotage, as Lennon said about all of us "Pretty soon You're Gonna Be Dead "

there is one word i would use to describe him, "smarmy". several people i have spoke to over the past few days have used the EXACT same word too!

ken has learnt a lot of things in life but like other people are saying you are soon going to past away.

He should have been elected. Feel sorry for him. he was great.
