As Leonardo Da Vinci already predicted before the first human flight: "Once you have tasted flight, you will forever walk the earth with your eyes turned skyward, for there you have been, and there you will always long to return..." Very Nice movie Herm! It shows the raw passion people can only show by tears just because words will not be 'covering the cargo', as we say in the Netherlands.

I’m happy you have the chance to get back in the skies sir. I understand what you have missed, although not a Pilot, I was a Motor Coach Operator for 33 years, when all of a sudden you can’t do what you love for a living and be with your brothern it kills you being away from it. Good on you sir and I hope you continue until your heart is content.

Congratulations mate!! I know how you feel, at the beggining of this year I went through a surgery that it did not go as planned. I have only been out of flying for 4 months and I can imagine how is being 3 years without flying. Enjoy the journey and safe landings

Hear you buddy. Its fun while it lasts. My whole life turned upside down 3 months after retirement. I had it all figured out. What could possibly go wrong now! Used a checklist my whole life. love the regiment in the cockpit and the camaraderie. So enjoy this gift but use it as a platform for your next step in life is my humble advice.

Thanks! I used the almost three years to develop other things, so yes, I am more or less prepared. But just happy to be able to end it on my terms(I hope) Be good!

I will never fly again. Class 1 and 2 : Done. Nothing to do about it, and i may finish blind some day. Already lost one. I am happy for you. Really, even if i don't know you.
