This reaction video to Adele's Easy On me and Angelina Jordan's cover was recorded on October 30th 2021. I had just heard Adele's original once or twice on the radio, but the Angelina Jordan Cover of Easy On Me Reaction is a first time reaction. Adele has created such an emotional song and when Angelina covers Easy on me she takes that emotional content in the song and pushes it up another notch. Angelina Jordan does not go Easy On Me. What she is doing to this Adele original in my opinion is something quite astonishing. Angelina Jordan is not only singing this Adele cover she is transmitting all of the emotions that can be found in the original in a way that frankly, Adele is not doing. That's just my reaction to Angelina Jordans cover of Adele's Easy On Me. How do you feel when listening to Adele's version and how do you feel when listening to Angelina's singing Easy On Me? Adèle’s song and singing it is absolutely wonderful. It’s just that Angelina takes it to some other surreal level. Blows me away! She may be the best vocalist of my time, and that’s a long time.

I've listened to this at least 30 times and It is still growing on me..... Not to take away anything from Adele she wrote and performed a brillaint song.....comparing it to Anelina I view Adeles song as a brilliant Black and White sketch that Angelina filled in with her amazing palette of tonal color....

Two great singers. Adele deserves credit for being the author. Angelina jazz singer, we can say she creates a sculpture with her words and we see her, which is rare, accompanying the singing with the body, becoming part of the sculpture herself.

Having watched Angelina’s journey from winning NGT to now, it’s understandable how this song’s lyric “I was still a child” could be very relatable for Angelina, and how she’s able to connect so emotionally with it. Seeing her perform this song it really hits me that even with her long career and success up to this point, she is still a child, and how impactful that realization is. It really emphasizes for me how special she is, and that we are privileged to be witnessing the rise of “Astar” 😄. Thanks Pontus!

Hi Pontus, I have been following Angelina since I first saw her on AGT. I am 79 and have now developed a daily habit of looking for reactors to her. When I find a reactor that hears Angelina for the first time and marvels at what they’ve heard, I am able to relive the feelings I first had. Thanks for your reactions.

When you were so impressed by Adele’s run towards the end, I thought, just wait until you hear Angelina’s version of that same run! And sure enough, you were blown away! Yes, one of Angelina’s best covers ever. Adele is a great singer, no doubt. But Angelina is one of the all-time greats!

@@BigAngieFan808 Agreed. Her body language really shows her commitment to that passage....And at the end of it: I recall how you swooned over the fry and her pronunciation of "advice" in Billie Jean. At the end of the bridge when she sings "shah-oh" (show), that has become my all-time favorite "Angelina moment" surpassing "dhow-un" (I Put a Spell); "gaw-whan" (Ain't No Sunshine); and "guh-oh" (Stay). One of the distinctive features of her uniqueness and her genius, and I can't think of any contemporary singer who matches it, is her pronunciation and play with words.

Hi, Pontus! Today is my Birthday and what a nice addition to my day, listening to Angelina sing and you react to her. I'm so glad you didn't "compare" their versions. These are two great artists. Let's just say Angelina considers it is a privilege to sing a song written by Adele. She admires her very much. Adele's reaction to Angelina's covers of her music? How can she not admire Angelina and understand she has been given a gift to sing in such a way as to bring listeners to tears "every time"! I have written on several occasions about a moment , down the road one day, when Angelina will meet up with Dimash to address the world about how important love is in our world and that it is essential to make the world a better place to live. Well, I believe there will be another day when Adele and Angelina meet on a Concert stage and won't that be spectacular! Pontus, I'm so glad the video ran those few precious seconds after you said good-bye to us because, the way you sat there, contemplating what you just witnessed, is exactly what every reactor who listens to Angelina does. It is unavoidable because she pulls so hard at our heart strings we need a few seconds to get out of the zone she puts us in. Always nice to see you.

Brother, Pontus, Adele wrote another beautiful ballad that is a huge commercial success, as it deserves to be. She performed it beautifully, but IMO, Angelina’s riveting and deeply soulful rendition made it a master piece. As always, I greatly enjoyed your reaction to Angelina’s breath taking performance. As we have come to expect, Angelina stayed true to the original while providing her interpretation and her thoughtful and respectful tribute to Adele. We certainly share the same opinion. Hello Pontus. Great show today. Thank you. You mentioned that the covers by Angelina tend to grow on you and I have had that experience with most of her songs. Now, what I don't know is if this is a normal reaction one would have with other artists. I simply don't know (for myself) because I've never been so enthralled with any artist like I am with Angelina. Angelina exit of the long worded "E-E-E-E-E-E-E-E-E-ASY ON ME" was a lot smoother than Adele's rendition. There are many little things that I like on Angelina's version.

Difference for me is that when Angelina sang this song I found myself holding my breath for long periods of time as the emotions well up in you from this young ladies superlative vocals, just spectacular once again. Angelina is Magic created from chocolate smoked with magical Yggdrasil tree wrapped in cloudberries from Valhalla. Angelina is just wonderfully, uniquely different than anything I've heard in my lifetime of music appreciation from every continent. If she decides she wants to do Afro-Cuban-Flamenco-Persian-Tuvan throat singing it'll be on its own planet too.

I was worried Pontus, all this time spent not reacting to this cover of Angelina ... 🤗 😂 They are two incredibly gifted performers technically and vocally, as well as very empathetic, but only Angelina gives me the feeling of being captivated by emotion. I have really lost count of how many times I have listened to her sing this song, yet my heart still squeezes, when I feel her flying so softly between the beautiful lyrics of the song, she is absolutely an emotional amplifier (if that makes sense) and she is incomparable to me. I loved also the way Angelina wanted to reassure us about her grandmother's health, she did it with infinite delicacy and sweetness, their heads side by side almost counterbalancing the emotional detachment that Adele writes about in the song. Thanks for the beautiful pairing and your delightful visual reactions. 💛 🧡 ❤️

Let me start by saying Adele is a great singer and an even better songwriter. Having said that, I don't know how anyone listening with unbiased ears can honestly say that they don't feel more of an emotional connection with Angelina, especially listening to them back to back. To me, it's really not even close. Angelina goes to a level that no one else can reach.

Adele processed her divorce on this album. It is so deeply personal and intimate. Her sensibility makes her music so relatable. She says what we don’t want to admit to ourselves in our darkest hour. I think the secret of her and Angelina’s allure is their sensibility. It wouldn’t surprise me if they are both INFJ ( the rarest Myers-Briggs Personality Type - making up only 1-3% of the world population) Angelina lacks the life experience, due to her young age, to pick up these deep felt emotions and yet she does and interprets them with a depths that is way beyond her years. Imagine what music she will write as she matures and her life experiences reflect in her own songwriting. It will be amazing.

No denying how Angelina emits such an emotional connection with her audience ! Her natural organic voice generates the most enthralling heartwarming feeling one can imagine ! So so good ! Even though both of their vocal performances display great technique, control and tone, there is something about Angelina's style and the amount of emotion she puts into every note that brings her version up to the top for me.

Angelina's ability as a human chameleon, allows her to emulate any singer, including Adele. What is so different about Angelina is that she being a true jazz singer allows her to penetrate the human soul more deeply than a non-jazz singer can, even one as good as Adele. Angelina uses the breathy softness made famous by Billie Holiday and also weaves in portions of Amy Winehouse's radical interpretation of jazz, which can be very raw at times. The nuances and inflections used from Billie & Amy, when added to what Angelina takes from Adele, gives the listener a 'four pronged' attack, not the 'one pronged' one like Adele, and it is impossible for any singer to match this in complexity and overall satisfaction to the listener.

What a wonderful reaction Pontus, and your two-song video is truly the treatment that these masterpieces deserve. Like you, I was almost driven to tears before the music started. Right off the bat I knew this would be emotional... Angelina gave us a clue as to how she would plumb the depths of her enormous emotional well in the process of singing Adele’s beautiful song. One can react subjectively or objectively. Subjectively, these were two great performances, and someone may like Adele’s or Angelina’s voice and delivery over the other. But on an objective level, Angelina is doing more with the song, and in my opinion, not overdoing it. It’s a very emotional journey in these lyrics, and Angelina lives them in her own way. She, objectively, has more vocal tools than Adele or anyone else I know. This is a stunning display of what Angelina can do. Huge appreciation to Adele for her continued great songwriting. It’s possible that I can’t be objective anymore, but I like Angelina’s covers better than Adele’s originals for every one I’ve heard. Actually, listening to Angelina’s cover of A Million Years Ago several years ago was when I realized that she was not like anyone I’d ever heard before-and she was 11 years old then. She’s only gotten better and better.

Hi, both sang with a lot of emotions wow there's a lot of people around the world singing this but to me they sound like their forcing their voice and the high notes, there is one that comes close but AJ is a mini Adel just a mazing she has the ability to put her spin in it but without taking the song away from the original artist she respects the artist, that's just incredible I just adore her she is 15 and wrote 5 original songs wow!! I was not a fan of Adele until I heard Angelina do some covers of her songs and now, I am a fan of AJ doing Adele covers. Angelina can cover anyone and make their songs an absolute dream work, and she is not locked in to jazz she can sing any, and everything. As usual; AJ has taken this to an ethereal level she is without a doubt a genius. There is something that is so special about AJ and It is not just her wonderful voice; it is her total being that draws one in. Remember she is only 15 but has been astonishing people since she was 6 years old.

Hello PO. I hope that she releases some original material with the unbelievable jazz musicians that Angelina performed with throughout Norway in July. I'm a 55 year old jazz/rock electric guitarist...and I totally dig the way her guitarist used a little distortion with a jazz guitar during their opening song right before the majestic "Mount Everest"... Angelina has done enough cover songs...and I hope she doesn't eventually end up changing her vocal sounds like Adriana Grande did...

Pontus, the emotion you feel comes from "The Angelina Effect!" Her Voice affects your brain, your soul, and your heart. I'm in my 70s and tear up when Angelina sings to me; that is how she affects all her Angels.
