As a 74 year old father of a 52 year old daughter, and sons, 43 and 41 years old respectively, Adam's father and son series really relates with me. You should be proud of this series, Adam. It's really touching. Bravo!
Totally agree with your comment, I’m in my 50s my dad‘s in his 80s early 80s, and we did last year in 2022 live with Adam and his dad are doing, and I see in Adams Dad, the exact expression, like my father would do when we were there Where he grew up, and how they get hypnotized that sometimes they’re talking, and it seems like they’re not even aware that you’re there, and you always wonder what’s going through their minds at the moment, fun, I did ask my father, and probably someday my kids will take me like I did my father. But I totally agree with their comment.
@@moisesperez4605 Thank you for your observations prompted by the comment I made a couple of years ago. Just to update you and others who may be reading these words. It's important to make time to spend with one's loved ones. You never know when it may be too late to connect with them. My eldest child, the daughter, passed away on October 31, 2023. She was 55 years old. It's like I just wrote, "You never know when it may be too late to connect with your loved ones." So, do connect as soon as you can.
My dad was diagnosed with liver cancer and had 20% of his liver removed 2 months ago....me and him are leaving in July to go through Wyoming and South Dakota on our way to visit my grandpa whom I’ve never met, the time is now everyone to be with the people you love. Have a good one and be careful Adam and to ur dad 👍👍👍
My mom is a throat cancer survivor. She was given a 50% chance of surviving 3 years and 20% surviving past 5 years. That’s was 18 years ago. She’s cancer free and kickin’ butt. Hope your pops follows in my mom’s footsteps.
I know you will never read this but, I gotta say something. I lost my dad a few years ago now and I wish we could have done something like this. We weren’t exactly seeing eye to eye when he passed, so cherish these day with your dad. Thank you guys for sharing these memories with us.
@@mr.fancypants6390 I like the Disney content, but prefer the road trips & nostalgia, been following Adam from his beginning including the good old days of urbanX & abandonment videos
@@mr.fancypants6390, the way I see it, it's a huge compliment because I love Disney, but this series with his dad is SO special because there's nothing like a father and son making memories like this together!
@@mandymorrow5473 Hoping Mom the Woo road trip next or even both Parents of the Woo together just to see the differences in memory! Probably would be hilarious! =)
@Mel Goodrose Have you ever honestly watched any video by any Tuber that you not only loved the video/vlog so much that you also wanted to spend time reading all of the comments too? Are there awards for Tubers? If there is and the watchers have anything to do with that let me know - I would definitely recommend this series - if not maybe a petition? lol I have never recommended any Tuber so much LOL Have a great day... =)
I damn near cried when your dad was talking about his dad holding him swimming in the pool. There was a pause and it seemed as though he was really absorbing the past and current moment. What a great time in your life with your dad. Many blessing for you and your family. Safe travels Mr. Woo and thank you for sharing them.
Adore this series. So much love and memories. Watching you spin your dad on the roundabout at the playground it struck me how time reverses our roles. You were saying "hold on, i don't want to push you too fast, don't get dizzy, have you had enough?". How many times, years ago, your Dad said the same to you at the park. Awesome.
Sitting here in tears watching you push your dad around on the Merry-go-round... ❤ and then add in some of the faraway shots, and your dad on the phone in the background.. I'm either just a hot mess today or this is so very precious.. Pretty sure it's both.. ❤
It must be nice from your dad's point of view and as a parent myself, that your son wants to spend this time reminiscing with his old dad, says a lot about how close you are thank you Adam and Adams dad, Jim x
I just adore your folks and your relationship with them. I am so thankful, just as I’m sure you are, to have been raised with loving Christian parents. ❤️ Thanks for sharing these precious moments with us.
FWIW, what you are doing is one of the most noble things I have seen in all my years on RU-vid. I tip my hat to you young man for taking the time out of your life and on your channel to do something that has become so foreign to our culture these days, honoring our parents. And a big tip of the hat to your dad for having raised you as he did. Sometimes I skip over the Disney stuff but things like this is what makes both you and your channel stand out. Oh yeah, ask your dad if the sewing factory was KMA Manufacturing. I knew the owner and he had some plants in Ala. and Miss. Just wondering how small the world is... :-)
Adam, your Dad needs a camera for his birthday! I could watch him as much as I watch you..... You guys should make this happen at least 2 or 3 times a year!!!
Thank goodness Adam didn't push him like he did his sister and her friend. 😂 That wouldn't have gone so well. Adam is so fortunate to have such wonderful parents.
Adam and Papa Woo, this series has been nothing but sheer unbridled joy for me to watch. Thank you ever so much for sharing it, this Scottish lass has had a much better week for it. I hope we see more of Mom and Pop in upcoming weeks/month/years! Stay safe and enjoy your weekends.
What a great dad Adam has! I read somewhere that the memories you have when you are very young are some of the clearest. I know several people that still dream of their childhood homes. Some still want to be able to walk through those houses. A lot of stores are closing that you never would have thought would go away. The global elites are doing something to change our lives again. I remember that place where I grew up used to have one of those drive in A&W Root Beer places. The food was sooooo good! I miss their mashed potato French fries! Now everything is mushy fast food.
It is interesting that a trip with such specific destinations can feel so relevant to so many. It seems like Adam is exploring the history of so many of us, stepping back in time a bit. Adam, you and your dad are great storytellers and historians and this trip through your family history is a gift to so many people. Thank you, thank you very much! 👍🏼
Adam. You are lucky to have your father. I love watching this series. I have no father. When I watch this I can feel the love between your father and you. You are both very lucky to have each other.
Well done Adam, Embrace those moments with your Dad, I lost my Father when I was 17 and my Mom when I was 22, Have always wished as I got older that I could have had moments like this.
My mama says you are in danger with this series, everyone loves Papa woo, he'll have to be on all your videos now! Enjoying seeing the history and the joy you are both experiencing!
Couple times I cried. The merry go round scene being 1 of them. Your dad is 1 frickin amazing good man. You're a damn lucky guy Adam. Cheerish these moments. Thank you for bringing us along. Godspeed
i think what amazes me the most, is that back when your dad lived here, there was so many people and the town was probably so lively. now people just look at it and thin k of it as some small town
Excellent video kudos to you for taking the time to share these special moments with your father! Just don’t see this type of kind behavior anymore...very nice respect I tip my hat to you!
*Out of all of your videos, this is my favorite...* *"Precious Memories, how they linger, How they ever flood my Soul"...* *This video is pure gold.* I went with my parents to their ol' stomping grounds, years ago, to *Earle, Arkansas* and *Neelyville, Missouri.* Treasured memories. From the bottom of my heart; thank you for this series. *Precious Memories.*
Your lucky. Still truckin at nearly 85. Mine died at 65 and i know i lost him quite early. When your dad is around, theres always kinda aura of security. Wish i' m around quite long enough for my son.
@@zodinthara7925 you put that great , your so right . God Bless your Dad . I don’t take a single second for granted. Thanks for the response and take care , God Bless .
So many touching moments in this one. Some say you can never go home, but you can. You just can’t stay in a world that’s no longer there. After college, I used to take my widowed Mom on road trips like this. She was a character, and we had so many laughs and good times along the miles. Now that she’s gone, I often relive the places we went. I see a bench where she sat, a restaurant table where we had a great dinner, but mostly, an empty passenger seat. And it’s bittersweet to think that the last time we visited a place, was the last time we’d ever visit together, and I didn’t even know it.
This makes me think of all the trips around town that my dad would make me take with him. Best memories I’ve ever had. So glad you got this experience Adam and Papa Woo!
How apropos is it that there was a weed eater going when Adam was learning where his dad was born, and the fact that his dad celebrated Adam’s birth with pizza and a Diet Coke, priceless! 😆👏🚜🍕🍕👶🥤
My pawpaw and my dad are both ministers. We were lucky enough to be able to stay in the same place growing up but my grandfather moved all over TN, AL, and MS. I wish we could have done this with him before he passed. Maybe I could get dad to take me around all the places they lived. Your dad is adorable and cherish all these memories.
@@jeffcurtis5460 yes that's so true. My grandparents moved to our home town in 97 and they were murdered in 2011 in their home. You never know what turns life will take so do it while you have the time ❤
I watched the entire hour long video and I'm thoroughly enjoyed every minute of it. Thank you very much for sharing your Dad and story with your subscribers and fans Adam.
You have a kinship 🥰🤣👍🏼 I’m really enjoying watching your dad tell his memories along this road trip, I’m sure your sister and your mom are enjoying watching and hearing as well
Adam, you have done a lot of great and wonderful things on this channel. I believe this series may be the single greatest thing of them all. As some who lost both their parents at very young ages, it is just so uplifting to see you and your dad have this time, these moments, and this trip. My face hurts from smiling so much as I watch this.
This is so much fun going down memory lane with your father. Watching your dad remember his childhood is wonderful. Him saying “weee” on that go around play equipment was priceless.
Your father is awesome!! You are very lucky. I lost my dad 8 years ago this month he was only 69 and I think of him every day!! Thanks for the video’s of this trip it’s heart warming Adam.
Loving this series ... this day4 is my favorite so far👍 dad is sooo adorable on that playground ride, LOL, you get your kookiness from dad ... I love these road trip videos, especially seeing and hearing first hand accounts of real life events... thanks for bringing us along guys🙂
I am loving this series with your dad. What an incredible experience you two are having. I promise you he’ll talk about this the rest of his days. I’ll never be able to do something like this so I am living vicariously through you. Savor it brother. No matter how much time we think we have, it’s not enough. Thanks Adam!
This series has caught me in my feels big time...Especially today's episode. Your dad reminiscing is priceless, and so charming! He is extremely entertaining! You are so fortunate to be able to do this with your Dad. I'm lucky to still have my dad, he just turned 85 a few weeks ago and lives in Florida. He's still very active, and was up to visit me a couple months ago! Precious times!
I absolutely love you and your Dad together sharing memories ❤ This is spectacular! Nothing better than old stories and memories from a lifetime of adventure 😊
It is such a blessing that you are able to do this with your Dad and I'm so glad to see you both having so much fun and sharing so many laughs on this trip down memory lane.
I'm going to say that this episode is my favorite yet in the series Adam! It actually brought a tear to my eye watching your daddy reminiscing and you two interacting especially on the mery go round! Thank you for bringing us along with you two.
This is awesome seeing you and your dad on this trip I wish I had been able to do something like this with my father. I can see how much the two of you are alike " the apple does not grow far from the tree". Your dad seems so kind, loving, genuine , with a great sense of humor just like you I would love to see him preach on any given Sunday God bless yo
This is wonderful! Your dad reminds me of my father and grandfather, who were from MS, too. I lived there as a kid, and miss small town life sometimes.
You two are having so much fun. Thank you for taking us along. Warms my heart. Wish my dad were still here. I remember spending one afternoon with him on a Navy minesweeper that docked locally. It was the best afternoon. He knew everything and every nook and cranny on the ship, even though it was modernized since he was in Korean War. Bless you both for taking this trip together!
As someone from the UK, I love to see this old town America stuff. Had to laugh at Adam remarking at the design of Ernie’s Fountain Grill....’very retro’, he says about a building his Dad frequented in the 50s! 😂
Those of us watching who have lost our fathers I think feel a special appreciation for the time you are spending with your dad right now. Thanks for letting us tag along on this wonderful journey.
I see where you get the charm and ease in front of the camera from!! I love this!!!! You two are the best! Your dad is too cute! “Hi mom, look at me”! 😂
Adam, this is SO precious! We love Papa Woo! Also, as a fellow Mississippian this was so wonderful to see! Honestly, the ending was the absolute favorite part! Keep up the great work!
I cannot get enough of this adventure. It makes me smile from ear to ear. My dad died when I was 18, I’m 52 now. Love to see Adam and his dad enjoying this time together.
