I was there, 20 years old and my first time seeing Pink Floyd. Also on that day, Paul Mccartney, Phil Collins, Mark Knopfler, Elton John, Eric Clapton, Robert Plant and of course the great Status Quo. 👍

Clare Torey didn't quite sound the same as she did in 73. But it's still super cool that she was a part of this show. I love how these songs that we all know so well take on their own new life in performances. A different sax player, different background singers. On David's most recent tours, different musicians all around. And they each have something special about them. Like you don't even miss the original and that it's not note for note the same. At least that's the way I feel.

yep Pink fking Floyd just awesome. BTW if you want to see another guy taking a stab at a clean Strat Mark Knopfler Dire Straights "Sultans of Swing" Alchemy Tour is pretty good (as is the drummer) 😂

I know Candy Duffer is a big name sax player, but to suggest she is better than Dick Parry with his 2 saxophones is sacrilege. TRUE, he is not as sexy to look at......but his 2 sax's give the right tone and feel to EVERY note and Candy doesn't even come close to his feel and emotion.....infact, she appears to be adding happiness and fun when it should be deep, thoughtful and melancholy. Dick Pratt blows her away both on the album and live in 1994 for the Pulse concert .

All the worlds best guitar players, blue grass excepted, play with their fingers and thumb. Eric Clapton at his peak even played rock and blues guitar mostly with his fingers. Except for Classical , Spanish and Flamenco guitarist who use their finger nails as a pick when needed, the other guitarists will use a pick when a note NEEDS a hard edge to it. The ROCK god who never uses his fingers is mostly a hack who only delights pimply faced kids, 10 yo girls and rock intelingentsia who dont even know that their are more than 2 genres of music ( sic rock & radio pop ). I used to think that Flamenco was Spanish guitar.. ..nah, there is a difference. Also thought that Classical and Flamenco played the same skills but differently.....NAH. !!! WRONG again. Flamenco is purely dance music and must have swing built in or its crap . Classical is all about tone.....the tone and sometimes tones of every note. The different tones come from plucking, strumming etc with different parts of the fingers and thumb. Tommy Emanuel goes even further.......he not only adds classical and jazz riffs to rock and pop, he adds rock, jazz, blue grass, percussion etc to Classical, and uses picks, finger picks, nail, palm, shirt sleave, wire brush, soft haired brush and even shirt or jacket to manufacture the tone he wants....oh, and also his fingers and thumb. lol
