@@loveliberals-pb9yq Someone can find a way to object to *anything.* Open the door to allow one person or group to take something that offends them out of reach, and you open the door for anyone to do so. If you want a direct example: if I recall correctly, Sadako and the Thousand Paper Cranes is about a girl who has leukemia because of the aftermath of the atomic bombs that the US dropped on Japan. What about someone who doesn't want American kids to know about the suffering caused to innocent people, including children, by our government's decision to use nukes? It could easily be framed as "protecting" children, or as though it is "anti-American" to let them learn about any mistakes or bad actions our country has taken. Though it would be profoundly wrong to do so, it's possible to make the argument.
