On our recent Norwegian Encore Cruise, we called on Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic. We did an excursion to Emotions All-Inclusive. We had a great time! Here is our excursion.

Hi there. Did you find it difficult to get loungers at the beach? How long was the bus ride to/from the resort? Thanks for your wisdom 🙂

So we spent most of our time near the pool (didn't want to deal with sand), so unfortunately, I can't really speak to the lounger availability/ease of getting a lounger as we not out there very long. The bus ride from Amber Cove was just over an hour each way, but we still had plenty of time at Emotions.

Hi, can you remember if there were other hotels to go to on a shore excursion? I’ve been to playa dorada a few times and can’t find much info out on the hotels to visit for the day Thank you Lisa

We did this excursion with Royal Caribbean. It was TERRIBLE. Do not waste your money unless you like getting hounded by people trying to constantly sell you stuff on the beach. It was ridiculous. You couldn't relax without someone coming by every 2 minutes trying to sell you stuff. They were very pushy.

That is why we did not stick around at the beach. We had fun at the pool instead.
