Emotiva unveiled a new series of high-performance, value-oriented speakers at CES 2016. The Airmotiv line features trademarked, folded ribbon tweeters, kevlar woofers, magnetic grills, and braced MDF enclosures. The series feature a whole range of speakers, from towers to surrounds, and from soundbars to subwoofers. In addition to new speakers, Emotiva refreshed their entire XPA amplifier lineup. The new XPA Gen 3 amplifiers are completely modular and upgradeable; feature a low-noise, highly efficient switched mode power supply; and are assembled right here in the USA. Emotiva really impresses me a lot, though I don't know much about them as far as personal experience,what I have read about them and heard about them is very impressive. I greatly doubt anyone can find as good of a full range of products where you can get your components, pre-amplifiers, amplifiers, and speakers from the same company with this kind of value made in the USA. The next time i am in the market for a qualit amplifier, pre-amp, or speakers, I will absolutely look into going with Emotiva.

So many great sounding (and looking) bookshelf speakers out these days! Unique designs too! I own (and am thrilled with) the JBL Studio 530 and the KEF Q100 speakers, and am intrigued by the Emotiva B1 with the AMT ribbon tweeter! I have a cheap pair of Dayton Audio B652Air speakers (with an AMT type tweeter) in my garage stereo setup, and am amazed at how decent those speakers sound. I'm ready to 'pull the trigger' on the Emotiva B1's, even though I don't need any more speakers! I'm sure they sound fantastic in every respect.

Those B1 and E1 look great. The T1 seem a little weird though. It looks like they are too big to serve in a normal bookshelf application, but are too small to serve in a standard tower application. Does emotiva make a stand to raise these up? If they come with a stand to put the tweeters at ear level then I think they become much more practical. I would love to see them continue on the Tower line and make some much larger full sized towers.

I sincerely hope that Emotiva has improved their products' reliability, because I live overseas now, thus the shipping and import duty are costly if I ever need to return/exchange. Note: I'm not questioning Emotiva's service/warranty, I know they take good care of their customers, and are willing to exchange the products if there's a problem. However, expensive overseas shipping could be a concern for customers who no longer live in the 48 states.

Dat sub Doh! 600watt AB?! that thing should be a beast, and for $700 no less. Very tough competition at that point though with offerings from SVS, HSU, and Rhythmik all in that ballpark. I like the passive radiator design myself though. Size of a sealed, sound of a ported. Can't wait for Audioholics to review one.

Wish they put a high (speaker) level input as on REL subs. Would open many more systems up to connection, such as mine. I have a large integrated tube amp, as do many of us.

I'm wondering how the t1's would do as lcr vs the center speaker and 2 t1's. As well as the wall mounts as sides. Can't wait to hear about that 12 either. Looking forward to it all

Does the new Gen 3 XPA amp now compete with the ATI amps? ATI are modular and a lot more expensive. I own the ATI 2000 amp. These new Emotiva's look good.

Emotiva makes great powerful discrete amps. My questions are: how do you get higher than 7-channel amplification, do you need two 7-channel Power Amps to do that? Can you Bi-Amp the two front speakers by using one of these Amps? Is this a suitable solution to build a Dolby Atmos / DTS: X configuration for which more speakers are required? Thanks.

+Vylkeer Each XPA unit can hold a up to 7 discrete channels, but each XPA unit can also hold as few as 2 with a custom order. This is the perfect solution to greater than 7 channel surround sound setups. pay for only what you need.

He had me until that sound bar. If it was mounted vertical, would be a great line array, but horizontal, terrible, as all sound bars (or any horizontal mounted speaker) have the wrong aligned radiation pattern. The tweeter was even mounted 90 deg. backwards to look more aesthetic with woofers but wave guide opposite; will provide 'nice' vertical ceiling floor deflections dispersion and terrible off axis listening. The rest of the products have the potential of ending up in my living room however.

Love the amps - I have the XPA7 ... I wouldn't have the speakers if they were free - to be fair I wouldn't have Klipsch if they were free either.... as for many brands as well ....speakers make or break a system .... Time for EMOTIVA to get real about speaker building....cheap speakers = cheap sound .... maybe great for a low budget market but no real offerings in the higher end...

Too bad, no more bullet proof toroidal power supply. We now get a hunk of resistors, capacitors, and switching transistors, giving us an SMPS power amp.

sure just delete the Zreview comments, A lot of us have bought Emotiva from zeos praise alone. let alone what we spread to family and friends. between my family now we own 3x XDA 2's, UMC-200 and a XPA 2

Emotiva is not built in America it's all Chinese and I do own emotiva amplifier and not one of my amps say made in the U.S.A THE filacilty that they have in Tennessee can way be a plant so do your research and you will see all there boards are all made in China even the Casey is made in China! Yup sorry I feel this way

designed, made and assembled in China for delivery to anyone. No parts available for anything after warranty period plus a well known fail rate within 6 years even for the most reliable model. a great company to invest in. How much u think this idiot was paid to do this advert ? priceless

you're not wrong about longevity of some of the prior products from Emotiva from our experience. This "idiot" wasn't paid a dime by Emotiva ever.

@@Audioholics The guy you are interviewing is nothing more than a business man. So you already know their products don't last after the warranty period. Why did you not ask him about this?... You are clearly promoting this brand. Even in the interview he promotes the new pwm amps slagging off their traditional class ab saying noisy transformers and all that crap then 2 seconds later says how good their subs are using class ab. U couldn't make it up. I spent over 2200 UK pounds on a xpr5. 6 years later a mosfet blew, fried the coils on that channel, costed me 1k to fix the speaker and now the amps toast. BUYER'S BEWARE.

@@nickb7040 The guy Marshall was interview is the owner of Emotiva. You should file your grievances with him, NOT us. Marshall is simply reporting on new products from Emotiva at a tradeshow per instruction. I too was unlucky with my XPR-1 amplifiers so I feel your pain. Emotiva claims their new products being manufactured in the USA are more reliable. Time will tell I suppose.

@@Audioholics I have no grievance with you but people watching this may be tempted to purchase something from them so am warning them. The fact that you yourself have had issues is testimony to that. Theres a video on my channel about my thoughts on buying from emotiva. For the record they used to say "made in the usa" and they got in trouble for it. They now say made in China and assembled in the USA. But this is not the case either as proved in my video. Just to be clear. There products are made and assembled in China. Emotiva are just a go between with no support thereafter you have paid. So why bother with them. Buy from China direct and save yourself even more money!
