Yeah.. just lookin into a lil upgrade fr my mediocre wanbo t2 😆. Althou this is just a native 1080p, but with hdr10 the pic quality and color reproduction seems really good! Cheers!!

Thanks for the info. Buying a Projector and/.or screen is a deep rabbit hole and we need all the info we can get! Coming into this months from this review and this projector didn't make my list of possible purchase for 3 reasons. At "advertised" 500 ANSI is simply too low for my settingv even if true. The manufacturer does not provide a throw ratio chart or ratio although I see an instance where it is claimed 120 in @10.33ft but it is not available on ProjectorCentrals throw calculator. Throw ratio is ESSENTIAL for those of us with mounted fixed screens. All the latest reviews are pretty negative especially concerning the main touted feature of Netflix not working and to be honest a cheap Firestick or Chromecast dongle (Both of which I already own) will easily negate the need for the onboard OS and is easily upgradeable. Another factor is I don't have any need for portability and I believe the relatively high price (for a long throw LED) is somewhat due to its portability

hi, i bought one but it doesnt come with a remote control and when i turn it on it ask me to press some buttons on the remote to sync it but as i sayed i dont have one is there a way to turn it without the remote?

It should definitely have come with a remote control at least mine did so I would be checking back with the retailer you purchased it from...sorry, without the remote I'm not sure what you can do. Also, reexamine the box again and make sure you didn't miss it in the packaging.

Just bought the LG CineBeam PF50KA for $600. Absolute great portable projector for the $. LG's WebOS is great, which has Netflix, RU-vid, etc. Love the USB-C w/ PD for connection to my phone. Even has the ATSC coax for OTA TV. Great picture at 1080P 600 ANSI lumens from a LED source. Sharp and bright in a very small package. Built-in speakers are on the weaker side, but connection to a Bluetooth sound bar is a snap. Highly recommend it as one of the best portable projectors.

I had originally tried the HU70LA as a 4k projector and I absolutely loved it. The only issue was the focus uniformity was not great and there would always be a blurry section no matter how much you tried to re focus. It wasn't horrible but it was just enough and once I noticed it I could not unsee it.

And in Canada, at least on Amazon, the PF50KA is still $850 so a little more money for a temp projector 👍

@@OlyGoalie67 Yeah, the Emotn N1 looks like an absolute value powerhouse. Kills the Samsung Freestyle, which is hundreds more. The 8 lbs. weight indicates it has very capable speakers. The Linux based OS looks capable and human-factored well. Could get it for $400 from Amazon US. Very tempting!

Great Review!! Do you find the 500 ANSI Lumen and contrast drop off over the recommended 120" size? Bought this projector based off this review and really look forward to follow ups to the N1 and other products!

Saxon...thanks for the time spent watching my video, I really appreciate it! Honestly, when I set it up I went straight to the bigger size just based on what I was using. I am pretty sure though if you moved the projector closer to the screen making the picture smaller...closer to the recommended 120" it would be a little brighter and maybe sharper and in turn, better contrast. Keep in mind, for the price and size I think you will be really quite pleased. I really hope you enjoy it and I am currently waiting on my JMGO N1 Ultra and will be reviewing that one if it ever ships from the Kickstarter program😂

Finally got around to watching a movie on this projector, and even on just a blank wall watching Dune I was blown away at the quality during some scenes. Got this projector on sale for 250 and it just seems crazy to get that quality at that price even without a projector screen set up. I have this running through an nvidia shield and darbee 5000s and cant wait to get it on a proper screen here soon. This is my first dip into home theater and projectors based of Oly's review and would definitely recommend this set up. Its not 100% perfect, some of the brights get a little blown out and I could notice a screen door effect on longer bright scenes. Some of this can be managed with the settings but at that price it's easy to look past some of that. Also the speakers are not great so i run it through an echo gen 4 aux in or use my headphones. Thanks Oly for the review, you talked this projector up and it still exceeded my expectations. Looking forward to testing out a solid 4k projector down the road but i will be happy rolling with this for a bit. @@OlyGoalie67

Do you know if the internal video player plays x265 10bit files from USB port? And subtitles with all european caracters (like ç, á, etc? with good size?) It's possible to choose other video player from the internal Store app?

To be honest I did not try those files through the usb port but the subtitles work quite well but again, I only tried in English I'm afraid...very sorry...if I get some time I will test it out and let you know the results.

hello oly, great review! ive just stumbled upon this projector. unfortunately, i boufht an xgimi mogo pro plus last week and have had nothing but problems with the stock OS. i was constantly restarting the unit to get it to play youtube/netflix/etc. not sure if it was just a faulty unit. regardless,i am also looking for a replacement! does this one have any issues with lag/freezes opening different programs? i understand that it runs linux OS so hopefully that is an improvement over android TV. Is crave tv something that can be downloaded as well? Thank you

Thanks C, sorry to hear about your issues. I will definately look into whether you can add Crave or not and get back to you. As far as reliability, very little studder out freezing while using on board RU-vid or Prime etc. I will get back at some point today with the Crave answer!

So I'm going to say no to Crave...at least through the built in app store which is pretty minimal actually. I did not try sideload even if that is possible? Of course there is the stick or HDMI input from an Nvidia or Firestick etc...sorry buddy!

How is this projector two months later? Do you run into any issues? Do kindly update with a video. Disney Plus, Netflix, RU-vid can login? Any issues while playing media streaming? Any lag, any disconnection?

Hi Jerry, I have moved along to the JMGO N1 projector now as it is an incredible projector...not to sat that the Emotn N1 is not amazing for what it is and I never had issues with streaming or any of the other apps such as Disney etc!

I play EA Golf on occasion and my daughters play PVZ and a few other first person all on Xbox One and they say it is the best of all the recent ones they have tried so I think you would be fine...try to limit Keystone and fit to screen feature and you should be good to go👍

Sorry I just realized this was on the Emotn review and not the JMGO N1 but the Emotn was pretty good...they didn't complain so that is a start.
