EMOVE Cruiser Review - (Purchase Link: www.electricscooterinsider.co...) - Compounding monstrous range and load-bearing capacities with a multitude of extra features - including an IPX6 water resistance rating, telescopic stem, and a choice of five colors - the EMOVE Cruiser is just as much fun as it looks. But all that style doesn’t mean the Cruiser overlooks substance. With semi-hydraulic brakes, silky spring suspension, and plump car-grade pneumatic tires all combining for a superb riding experience, the Cruiser delivers on all fronts. You won’t have to break the bank to get your hands on it, either.

Do not ride it in rain. It died after 3 months. I purchased this and after 3 months and riding in rain few times, the whole thing died on me. Company says warranty doesnt cover the water damage. I even bought extra 2 years of warranty.

If I had to fault my second hand Cruiser, it's the flex in the stem and neck where the bushings get flogged out in the silver folding part. Having said that I've got parts coming to replace it. This machine has done 3600km and will still carry my 80kg frame past 70km range. The rear springs could be an oil type too, which is the next upgrade. Fun fact, the self healing tubeless tyres of the Ninebot Max are a perfect fit on the Cruiser rims.

I have about 300 miles on this scooter as of current. It is indeed a great machine. My rear wheel guard badly cracked and had to be taken off first time i used it (due to poor design, I hit a bump and the vibration of the impact cracked it), but they sent me a replacement part for free and i have had zero problems with it otherwise. Note that this replacement was slightly different - more rigid. I'd imagine newer scooters all come with this improved rear wheel guard. Regarding the loose/wobbly handlebars mentioned here, they actually can be tightened so they don't wobble at all. There is a strange screw that has to be turned to *exactly* the right angle in the closing hinge - like within a degree. But once you get it, the handlebars are rock solid.

Can you please upload a video of how to solve that wobbly issue. I'm thinking of buying one these.
@AGFuzzyPancake
@AGFuzzyPancake 2 года назад
@@shanepereraedu It's not something that would be seen well in a video, and it's not really necessary Basically, fold the handlebars down and note the Allen screw that sticks up vertically where the handlebars connect to the stem. Rotate it such that it sticks out/up just enough that you can *barely* move the handlebars into riding position due to friction with said Allen screw. That's all. You will feel exactly what I'm talking about. I'm not mechanically savvy in the slightest.

How much actual real miles do you get on a full charge. And how does the battery hold up now.
@AGFuzzyPancake
@AGFuzzyPancake Год назад
@@jmw77 I am not the person to answer that question, unfortunately. I only take it out for 15-20 minute afternoon/evening strolls and only when often brutal Ohio weather permits. It takes me further than I would ever want it to before a long break to charge. In the summer, I might charge it once a month. I can say it holds its charge well over time.

E.Scooter with 20mph+ speed & 25 miles range is completely enough for me to urban commute and less weight gives me the perfect portability. If you want so much more range & speed with a heavy bulky scooter with less portability that you literally have to park it outside you'd better of with a motorcycle. If you can't have it inside a bus or inside a car trunk it's get pretty annoying by the time.

1) How does cruise controld work? How many secs it needs for constant speed? Is It adjustable? 2) Does this e-scooter have a phone app to adjust and or monitor things? 3) That was a one helluva review. Loved it. Well done.
@ElectricScooterInsider
@ElectricScooterInsider 2 года назад
Hi Sami! 1) Cruise control turns on after 7 seconds of riding at a constant speed. Once it has activated, there is no way to adjust it. If you speed up or slow down, the feature turns off but you can reset it by again riding at a new constant speed for 7 seconds. p.s. next week we have our review of the NAMI Burn-e Viper coming out and that model has an adjustable cruise control function. 2) The EMOVE Cruiser does not have an app but you can use the QS-S4 display to view all your riding stats and change settings like the max speed and start mode (i.e. kick to start or throttle start) 3) Thanks! Glad you liked it - we have 10 more being worked on as we speak so hold tight for those.

Hi Mate, I would appreciate your help so much here to pick my e-scooter. Here are my preferences ranked (Waterproof for Ireland weather, Comfortable suspension and ride for my back, range, as I wish not to charge it till end of week, but I still can compromise a bit in this point, hill ascending for Ireland roads again, brakes, I need it to be safe, low maintenance overall or hassle-free as possible with reputable brand for warranty maybe, technology, especially any theft like gps or NFC or something, load, as I'm around the 100 KG, weight is fine up to 25 kg, I might go for 30 kg if everything else is checked, lastly the speed, I don't mind it because there is a law cap anyway) As for the budget, I can go up to 3k if like everything is there, and it can live for like 3 to 5 years with me! Thank you so much for bearing with all these details but I'm seriously lost. Cheers!

I have been watching several videos of the new updated 1000w cruiser failing on people. I can agree with you on the controller issue. I have a touring with well over 3000 miles and I have only had to replace one controller and 3 sets of tires. I would stay away from the cruiser altogether for that kind of price. The battery is huge but to me it has too many problems for it to be worth it.

Wondering how this compares to the Vsett 10+ R? Any thoughts on if it's worth the extra cost over the cruiser? Debating between the two
@ElectricScooterInsider
@ElectricScooterInsider 2 года назад
The extra cost is certainly worth it for the VSETT 10+R. This model is in a completely different league to the Cruiser. For context, we categorize scooters into 5 category (budget, commuter, performance, high-performance, and ultra-performance). In these categories, the Cruiser sits between commuter and performance, while the VSETT 10+R resides in the high-performance category. For more info about the VSETT 10+R, check out our review here: www.electricscooterinsider.com/electric-scooters/reviews/vsett-10-plus-r-review/

Where can we get one if we live in UK/Europe? Did you have it shipped from USA? I want one, but no one sells it. The fact it has IP56 and has all those features makes me think it will be worth the import costs. It rains a lot, so instead of buying a cheap IP56 scooter for rainy days, and a "high end" one for other days the Emove Cruise is all in one.

@Electric Scooter Insider what about the new kaabo mantis 8 or the varla pegasus? How does this compare to emove cruiser?
@ElectricScooterInsider
@ElectricScooterInsider 2 года назад
Hi Kendrick, the Mantis 8 Pro is a great option if you want more power since it has dual 800W motors. However, I'd recommend checking out the Apollo Ghost since I think it delivers more value at a lower price than the Mantis 8. You can check out my reviews for both here: Apollo Ghost - www.electricscooterinsider.com/electric-scooters/reviews/apollo-ghost-review/ & Mantis 8 www.electricscooterinsider.com/electric-scooters/reviews/mantis-8-pro-review/. As for the Varla, its solid tires are detrimental to its ride quality so I'd go for one of the above in this case. In terms of comparing the EMOVE to the scooters you've mentioned, it comes down to a couple of factors. Firstly, the EMOVE is a road scooter, while the Mantis 8 & Apollo Ghost can venture out on dirt tracks. Secondly, it depends on what you want from your scooter - neither the Mantis 8 nor Apollo Ghost can compete with the EMOVE for range. Similarly, the EMOVE can't compete with those two models where power is concerned. Hope that helps!
@KTU-Rides
@KTU-Rides 2 года назад
@@ElectricScooterInsider I think that's the old mantis! There is a newer mantis 8 from kaabo! Dual 500 motor with a weight of only 52 pounds plus it's only 1100
@ElectricScooterInsider
@ElectricScooterInsider 2 года назад
@@KTU-Rides So many scooters to choose from! Thanks for clarifying, the same advice applies. It's worth bearing in mind that although the new Mantis 8 has the same nominal output as the EMOVE, the fact that it has dual motors means that the power is evenly distributed and therefore delivers a faster acceleration rate and better hill-climbing (but at the cost of reduced range because of its significantly smaller battery).

I'm not sure if you look at all the options out there but I bought my 6000 W. No brand name scooter for after taxes $1330.00 ish... That's a 60v volt 30 😮amp battery. And let me tell you for the price I pay it was a h*** of a steal. It's got three different settings normal, Eco turbo, And extreme. All 3 Settings have 3 gear settings. Let me tell you even on Eco Turbo if you take off on 3rd yearlier very hard chicken to control as the scooter is trying to go forward and you're still where you're at and even going 30 miles an hour It still wants to go faster which top speeds at 62 miles an hour Supposedly a distance of seventy miles but Don't have the time to go cruising 70 miles on normal mode. so boring I'll fall asleep. But I have a full charge got over fifty miles on it writing it in all different settings and usually like going fast. And this is a alternate scooter disk breaks all suspensiand I don't know what else to say. It's got everything all the other scooters have but it's unbred. That's the only thing very solid but weighs about a 100 pounds. I guess that would be the only downfall for the five hours using dual charging. So maybe you ought to look into the generic brands as well and that's as always look at brand names. But I'm sure because as sponsorship than everything else. You really can't which not getting the full information out there. Besides information that you're can told what to say that's my opinion. Because you don't want to lose your sponsorship I get it.

The Emove cruiser is garbage because it will cost you your life. The design flaw is in the folding mechanisms which can fall apart while riding at high speeds . The nuts and bolts in the folding mechanisms fall out all the time . You can use lock tight but they will still fall out in my experience. So this is a serious problem that needs to be fixed. Emove is very well aware of the problem and still continue to sell these defective dangerous scooter. Great job Emove you are the best LOOSERS of all time .

You seem new at this. You repeat things multiple times. Take too long getting the point across. Either do a good job or get out please

Using this scooter for short commutes is the way to go, as it makes it really fun. ru-vid.comUgkxvyNuxpWiHTNypxG6nyqyf7ywc7Q16PDM Both the levels of speed it allows you to use are very fun, though 20mph can get pretty scary on bad roads. It makes a cool electric sound as it is accelerating. The battery life is also pretty impressive, as I can go anywhere around me within a ~10 mile radius and back home with a full charge. I expected the tires to feel somewhat like a toy, but it is legit, and has pretty good grip on surfaces. Braking on this scooter is also really fun, since you can even do a little drifting if you break hard. The wheels on the scooter are definitely very high quality, as they are wide and well sized. The entire scooter is pretty high quality too. I have fallen on it a couple times because I was being a little reckless, and the scooter still works perfectly fine, with some minor scratches on the sides. I found the brake lights to be very cool as well, since they flash when you brake.
