The Emperor and Empress of Japan have laid a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Warrior and have been given a tour inside Westminster Abbey. . Report by Faith Ajagbe.
This shows the world that the wounds from 1940s are well and truly healed among these nations, and all nations can live in peace and harmony. Beautiful shining examples for the rest of the world.
Despite being in the far east Japan is still a western country and part of the western world. Japan is a wonderful country and a great friend and ally of Europe and the USA.
EMPEROR & EMPRESS SUCH A DELIGHTFUL COUPLE , ELEGANT , RESPECTFUL , WARM , HIGHLY EDUCATED ETC ETC A PLEASURE TO SEE THEM IN THE UK ON A STATE VISIT HOPEFULLY IRELAND WILL BE NEXT ?? LOVE JAPAN !! FROM IRELAND
One of the most honored and welcomed visit to west minister Abbey by the Emperor and the Empress of Japan. It shows that the friendship of both countries is growing from strength to strength. I love that. I wish that the world will learn something good from this visit. I wish you all the best of luck.
Thank you UK and the Royal Family Channel!! It is very strange that NHK and major Japnese media keep silent about this ceremony and events during the oficial visit.
Kudos to the King. Trooping the colour, the Garter Belt ceremony, Royal Ascot and now a state visit. In his age and with cancer treatment.. AND on top Princess Anne in hospital. What a tough time. God bless him ❤
And his daughter-in-law has cancer, he lost both his parents within the last 5 years, his brother is a disgrace and thorn in his side, one of his sons is the other thorn and he became a King. If anyone needed a break bless him!
Wonderful to see! God Bless the British royals from Southern California USA 🇺🇸 contrary to what media says America 🇺🇸 does respect the British royals and admire your country’s customs and traditions. God Save the King 👑
The Americans imposed great cruelty on native Americans and African slaves and the British had an empire ie conquered and imposed there will on the people of those conquered nations often cruelly - lest we forget!!!
@@lemondropkid6175 please remember, the Japanese even in modern society suffer daily with brutal working conditions, depression and a 'culture' where one is expected to endure in silence rather than speak out and make positive changes. In addition, the majority of citizens alive today in most nations have absolutely no connection with nor responsibility for past atrocities committed under order.
I've visited a few times and seeing it never fails to make me cry - As a family historian I know that all of my ancestors returned from the wars. I shed a tear for those who didn't return.
@@davesimpson5702 two of my great-grandfathers served in WW1 and my grandfather's uncle fell in the Flanders in a conflict that should never have happened to begin with
