I was there. You can die in peace after seeing such an amazing show, trust me....

My favorite album ever, my favorite concert ever. So glad I was there, it was an absolutely mystic experience. Pure beauty.

I was there, third row, just in front of Ihsahn!! Got the chance to catch the drumstick Faust threw in the crowd just before "Inno a Satana" :) Also got the chance to have my Emperial Vinyl Presentation box dedicated by the band.... Wonderful, amazing show, just beyond words !!! Ah p**ain que c'était bon, Hail Emperor!!!!!!!!!!!!

this is my first comment about a video in youtube , maybe the last... just to say that this the most magic moment in my life seeing gigs... getting dark in France with my partner and future wife, beholding the Emperor. 35:46. overwhelming moment.

I was there ... I loved how it became night during their set and it was great to see Faust on drums ! Great performance !

This has to be the most badass show since years. No bullsh1t looks, just pure evil, killer set list and flawless performance.

Trym might be a more technical drummer but faust is perfect for the performance of this album. Great how the sound of the bass drum came out without a clicking sound.

These guys never disappoint...

I still don't understand what the fuck possessed these guys in the creation of The Nightside, spirits of the past? it's just pure ancient magic, darkness infinite!

looking back at this concert, it's one of the best I have ever seen! I was there as accredited photographer/journalist in those days. With Emperor I was in the crowd, front rows mostly, watching in awe how this concert developed. Fantastic!!

Secthdamon's vocals are fucking insane!

Not really into black metal, but I have always liked Emperor. I think they are easily the most melodic of all the black metal bands I have ever heard, and that makes them a lot more appealing imo.

Yeah, Faust was in prison for a long time, but had been out for a few years now, and he has been in bands other than this Emperor reunion for the 20th anniversary of Nightside Eclipse. And other commenters are right, the drums sound like they do on the album. No complaints here!

In The Nightside Eclipse is the best album. Totally drapped in darkness and awesome lyrics.

I was there. Emperor are fucking awesome and it was a great gig, but it was kind of ruined by the fact that I knew Black Sabbath were coming next. Had me looking at my watch the whole time.

People grow old and they become weak... It's obvious that they performed well in the past, but it's how things work in the world. Really lucky to see them back on stage and still this is True Black Metal compared to any band around. Long Live The Emperor....!!!

I love all of emperor's albums but Nightside is my favorite. The mood is so lush on that record and Bard's drumming was killer. Trym certainly has more technique but Bard's performance on the record was fucking great. Anyone saying he sucks here let me just say, try being in prison for years and then go play a show in front of thousands of people. Im sure Bard was unable to practice for all those years being locked up, regardless this was an epic event having the key players reunite for an amazing performance. I just wish emperor would do a proper tour. Ive been a fan since Anthems and I never got to see them perform. What a fuckin shame.

This is basically all I want from Emperor! Roll on Bloodstock!

haven't heard any black metal album since 14 years or more... and surf youtube and see that bands like emperor are still playing... i only have to say WOW! THEY FUCKIN RULE. maybe it's just me but kind of miss 90's metal... specially '95 - '99 ... fantastic metal time for me at least.

Comparing Faust against Trym is just embarrasing to Faust... I know this is a 20 year "In The Nightside Eclipse", but after listening Trym on drums, he is untouchable. But, the bass player chorus are awesome.
