Once you first took the walls you didn't have to send your troops up still. You could've sent in the ones outside the walls through the gates along with your Calvary and hit them in the back at the breaches

A trick I used to do for money was to sell technology to Allies. Love this game esp with Darthmod.

I realize this was very early war for you, but a few recommendations that I hope you enabled later. Build roads Repair taken settlements to avoid rebellions Build factories as much as possible Buy n sell technologies Until you get fire by rank, spread your line as long as possible

And NO!!!! Heroic victory do not mean that you did better than auto resolve. It means, that you where close to loosing the battle more than once... But stil came out victorius.

After having read a stack of books on this period almost as tall as I am (and I am 192 cm / 6'4"), the way warfare works in Europe in this game is a true joke. I WANTED to have an excuse to buy this and play it, but the fortresses all over western and central Europe prevented play in this manner (landing and taking Paris in ONE turn? There was a reason that in the Nine Years War and the War of Spanish Succession the Allies (with England/Britain) did not land in force in Normandy and march on Paris -- it was freaking impossible and frought with risk. And the lines of dozens of fortresses between Calais and Strasbourg made advances on Paris from Brussels or Germany a years long nightmare. Landing armies that could achieve anything inland was a major, major logistical challenge and the ease with which this is done in the game is a joke. Unfortunately, this game is a no for me. And that sucks. Was hoping.

Omg... the worst tactics ever, first fight against France, you should have put your soldiers behind the wall in the field, then you would have hat no killed soldiers. As far as Paris, always choose auto resolve like you said. 2 bad tactics choosen...
