Agreed nothing good about these options only barely usable. Can you make a few work, yes. But I was more excited about fated summons and was hoping we'd see c. Gazelle like they did with panther or c. Krampus or c. Hatter. However there a a few " good options " here but nothing great or easily used. You struggle to fire all these or keep them alive. The faster options you may can get to fire are not gonna make a big enough difference to turn the tide of battle. Grab the magic heroes and you can at least get a special off but they don't have a huge impact on the outcome of the battle. The rest at average or slow will be very lucky to fire with those weak stats and the current power of current heroes. Very disappointing list
Also, a small tip against Constance - the Astral Elves will ignore her dodge buff. She would be a good supportive hero but you know what? I'll get Becky, cause she's fun to strategize and her passives are awesome.
After analyzing the list in my video, it became more obvious that Becky is by far the best choice here... most people have yet to mention: the magic portal doesnt really exist right now. Its the Ninja Tower and portal in its place. So Becky and Ulius is quite rare to find, let alone acquire. Appreciate this Mcnaulty, been playing for years finally decided to help out with releasing videos to watch and fuel discussion. I'd give more credit to Ulius, and anyone should avoid a hero of the month, as they eventually show up in the Tavern of Legends every month, easier to acquire.
I think I'll go with Becky as well. Wanted Constance but her dodge can be debuffed and easily avoided by the Astral Elves. She's better than Becky on the defense but not as fun on the offense. A great strategic player did a review of these heroes and also put her on first place. It's pointless to wait on next SE, cause (like you've mentioned) this portal won't show up for now and there won't be someone from the meta.

I'm going to pick Ulius at just 10 souls and have fun with him. If the opposing team has no healers, or if there is no healing allowed, he is just needs to survive to do one round of fields and then generate minions... Thanks for the review.

I run 4 tc20s... every 10 days on average you'll get a 5* hero... so... 36 per year... mix those in with the hotms that aren't worth leveling... and the 5* s1s from pulls... and you can usually pull a 20 tier a few times per year.
@@fishepa it's slow... But i also don't get that many 5*. But i farm dunes during the dune event ... That's usually 20% of a 5%. If i really want a hero... I'll swap to 3 tc2s for a few weeks... Then back to tc20s. I also have enough rope for ha 3... But i don't do that often.
Ok so I had been looking for a yellow hitter but not excited about any of these. Becky and Rochefort look interesting. I have no Hippo, and I do have Darkfeather, Ludwig and Aramis at 80. Who is best for me? I need survival and Im so tired of getting my ass kicked every war with all these big teams. Constance looked interesting but didn't really excite me. Any thoughts?
Hi Sassy 👋 TBH I think that for the level u r currently at and I know ur roster a bit. If you need a strong holy hitter none of these choices are going to enhance your roster enough. Stats are a pretty massive part of being competitive at the moment so heroes like the toons are great for survival against strong teams cause they have the stats and that awesome passive. So someone like Toon justice even though she's slow could be a good option. Constance is good value and will help your team survive longer and dodge some of the hits coming in but she doesn't hit hard enough to kill so she needs backup. Sorry I can't be more helpful buy if u don't think any will help there's no harm in skipping this time ;?)

Forget about the dearth of content creators... this is SUCH a helpful analysis, McNaulty! I've had Xandrella leveled to 4.85 for some time now and really enjoy her mechanic, so I couldn't agree more that she's worth 20 souls. I recently pulled Costume Zenobia and look forward to KILLER titan #s against 14* Nature titans once I pair her with Oceanus. You made me wonder why I never leveled up Rochefort and Nemesis. And, even though I LOVE the Masked God artwork, and could really stand to open up 20 spaces in my roster, I am looking hard at Becky and Constance, thanks to you. Especially Constance. Who couldn't use a healthy dodge at fast speed, right? Thanks again!

I'm weak on yellow and don't have a mass dodge buff hero, so Constance is probably the choice for me. Flip looks great for the +50% crit chance. Paired with a +100% damage hero and you'll deal some pain. Becky looks really solid, but she doesn't seem to help a defense team, as I never have a problem with her. Aconia and Nemisis do look nice, as well, and I may not have 15 heroes to exchange by September, so I may need to go with them or pass. Rochfort is meh to me. Good on a stacked purple team. Not very useful beyond that. His damage debuff can be dispelled. He is not useful on defense. I do like Queen Guowang, as she deters the use of special skills much like Constance. However, I think 45% dodge is better than knowing you'll give enemies 10% mana on cast. My opinion is biased however because I am looking to better my PvP defense team.
Funny it looks like you're in lockup, wearing your prison stripes. I went for the Queen, but had I thought more about it, I would likely have gotten Rochefort. He would have made a wonderful addition to my fighting Muscateers.

Leadria is actually pretty annoying to fight against. I know a lot of people talk bad about her, but her minions are beefy, and she can really prolong the life of a defense team. For all the healers out there, she is most consistently the last enemy on a team that I can kill off, probably because she is immune to boosted health reduction.
She's a wierd one 4 zure & Her Kit is actually better than you think I agree plus that special skill boost is something u won't appreciate unless u use her tbh I'm thinking about getting mine off the bench and maxing her after this video 😉 ty 🍻
@@zach358 Agree 100. I have her unleveled because I didn't think she would be that great. I wanted to try her out before putting in the mats. So I've been using her in three star battles and she holds up pretty well. She actually does a great job. Now she's in my to-be-leveled list.
Thank you for your efforts. I will probably choose Hypnos, as I hate running into mana thieves. So I can cancel all their buffs, hit them and shut them down. And most importantly, Hypnos is somehow immune to mana reduction because he is a charging hero.
No worries 👍 I'd say hypnos is a great pick his skills are incredible just wish he had the stats to match. But if u have the right troops and a few Alpha aethers to throw his way he will be awesome! 😉
Leadria and zenobia should not be in there, archie at 15 with no costume, what where they thinking, god i hope they add the costume to him at the last second. Hypno at 20.....really 20. Should have been 15. Xandrella in my opinion, the best hero on this list build her like lord loki...for survivability. Your using her for her ability, controlling the enemy team.

Lol so here I sit again, half an hour left, and not sure if I should take Becky or Xandrella, just for fun. I have to make some room in my roster..but could sit this one out. Still always want to try a shiny new penny, at least shiny to me. At least Im not all stressed out about it this time.

Im going to just come right out and admit that Leadria keeps kicking my ass in wars. Idk what it is but almost everytime she kicks my ass and I lose. Also - even when I took Xioutu there’s something with the minions that’s isn’t deactivated.

I have 15 heroes to spare. Should I wait for another SE (F2P/C2P player) or choose one of the second row? If yes then Becky or Constance? I still don't have any hero with dodge but that mana control strategy seems so tempting with Becky. My best holy heroes are Anne and Nemesis and dark - toon Sartana and the three kingdoms purple healer without costume (forgot the name) :P
If I didn't have Constance I'd probably choose her over Becky but then if I didn't have Hippo I'd be more inclined to go Becky 😅 I don't think you can loose either way tbh. Sorry for being indecisive 😆
Additionally, I could exchange some of the other heroes I own like Tahir, Frida or Poseidon but I still use those heroes for titans, wars etc. Not sure it would be a good move to cut down on my roster that much, just to have a slightly stronger one like Rochefort for example. I didn't have luck with pulls for over 2 months, so that's a bummer. :P
@@McNaultyYT I think I'm gonna choose Constance as very useful, holy heroes are great against purple tanks which have been obviously meta for quite some time. Becky wouldn't be as effective on defense as a tank for sure. CPU just can't strategize and Constance's special is more straightforward. I would love to get them both but I'm not a whale, so 15 spare heroes is the most I can do at the moment. :) Thanks for the answer nevertheless.
@@JM-ff7cj from this list Rochefort is the only one who will keep pace in terms of power with those but u also don't really have a dedicated healer and Becky has a small heal so could be useable. I'd go Rochefort if u have the 20 to spare.

I have Cel, and she is fun to use with other minion summoners. She is not a hero to use as a top level domination hero, but used with Motega, Freya C, Noor, Augustus (or any of the Christmas heros). She is fun to use in that respect. But you are right, 20 heros exchange fir such a niche hero is ridiculous. I would go for Rochefort if I could.

Yes Im loving my toons so far. I have Lianna and Elkanen toon all up would Zendrela help? How about Hypnos? I have a surplus of heroes to get rid of. Does Becky hold up or does she get taken out easy?
I would go with Xandrella over hypnos if you have 20 to spare I see she has been given a nice stat increase and because they are now looking to put the new slimes into the Elemental portal she's likely to get another. Plus her skill is awesome 👌 especially against teams with 2 or more ice heroes.

One thing I like about Ninja and Styx is that mana reducers like Lemon, Luna and that fuzzy gargoyle cant shut them down. I would use Thanatos to counter them. All the Styxers do need a stat bump.

I had Nemesis for 2 years and she's a good one-two combo with Anne. That's what I usually do against purple tanks, first Anne and then her. Not enough to defeat the newer purple tanks but still great combo against most of them.
Moin. I have to disagree on Cel. Her strong minions are my safety net on offense in raids, quests and monster island stuff. Power her up and against computer operated opponents you are almost guaranteed to punch through. (And at monster island your team never takes direct damage, it lasts forever if you don't forget to activate her asap) Pair her with the penguin and you can have some fun. I'll definitely try to get her for my other account. Thanks for your effort breaking down the heroes.

@@terrywoodfine8848 On a minor positive note there are good things happening in the game due to the community's influence recently but i agree it feels like the devs need a constant slap on the wrists at times 😅. Thanks Shelbylou 🍻 😊 I'd probably advise against Athos unless you need a healer in which case he's above average but not the best. He can go with pretty much anyone as he's a support hero and the mana bits he does are nice but he's squishy and will need 2LB to be strong enough. I don't think he's worth the Mats sos.
Sucks that none of these heroes will be usable for much longer....Most of them are pretty weak even at lvl 90 25 emblems. Im going for constance though because i have rochefort and aramis maxed and she will be a good pair with one of them in wars. Ive wanted her since she came out! There are some other good ones that id choose like ulius and flip if they were a bit stronger but im not wasting mats and aethers on older heroes unless they go with another that i have, like constance.
@@SK8R43 yeah though I do think it's subjective as always based on the level you are at. However that said I love my Constance LB2 and 20 blems and she is a trooper. That dodge with cover has saved my ass about 1000000 times and team her with your other Musketeers and a nice healer and ur golden. Good Choice SK8R 👍

Is it worth it to take Queen Guowang just for the family bonus? I have XZJ and Tang, really hoping to get another Journey family to make them 3 so I get that juicy 100% 3-turn extension of status effects.

She could work cause Tang will give her the extra HP and defense that she needs but whilst the bonus is nice she's definitely not the jewel of the Journey fam she once was plus they are getting costumes now and CDC and C Cao Cao have been incredible so I'd say if u intend to pull in that portal I'd rather that than pick her just for the bonus. Why does the opening board algorithm seem to favor teams with top heroes? When I play with my my old teams I often get shite but whenever I use my 7000 team the boards are awesome and the victories lopsided. Feels mighty good playing with the top heroes I have to admit...lol
It's true it does feel that way sometimes but I think it also has a lot to do with the power difference and superior skills and passives. As u say it feels more of a fair battle when u have the new heroes. I've been trying to spread them out somewhat so they're not all on one team. And troops are a big part of being able to get more turns too. Ty 4 sharing ur thoughts 🍻
I think Leadria is not as bad as you make her. And you forgot about her passives which are not bad. Also, boosts health after each turn. For the 10 line I think she is awesome. I won’t choose cause I have 3 of them.

She just doesn't seem that exciting but the stats are there and the health boost plus the special skill increase does kinda make her viable... I just think that HOTM without costume even more recent ones should be in FS rather than SE. Good to know she's a viable option tx 🙏
If your looking for a nature hero Xandrella is by far the best pick here but if u need a pretty nice defensive healer and only have 10 spare Leadria is not a bad choice 😉 defo better than lady locked IMHO.

Question, for Nemesis, if the opponent already has a mana regeneration buff on and you use nemesis' first mana charge special on them, will every tile hit cause the opponent to take 250 damage due to the mana generation buff giving them more mana per tile?
@@gunnermatic753 Good question , sooo.. the 200 damage is not trigger per tile but each time the targets mana is increased I may have had this partially wrong as been scrolling through the forum and reading people's feedback and testing of her, at charge 2 she flips the mana-regen buffs; charge 1 looks like the 200 damage is only for increases of mana given by minions effects passives special skills etc.
@@McNaultyYT So I understand that, but if the opponent has a mana generation buff on, each tile thrown into them gives them more mana because of the buff they have. And since the additional mana gain is because of the buff (which is a status effect), they should take 250 damage per tile thrown into them correct? It's kinda like Xiamaras special. I wish I had them to test it but alas, I do not.
So they aren't including costumes?!? That's BS, I thought a lot of these heroes would be pretty good, but only a few will be. I will pick constance since she is one of the less outdated heroes. I need more yellow hero to deal with the purple tank meta.

Hi there Mac. I see you always refer to the hero power. I'm sorry to say the hero power means nothing compared to what the heroes damage output is in relation to its attack stat.
@@milodemoray it's more as a point of reference for me. I am aware that just because one has a TP of 950 and one 850 that there is no reason the 'weaker' one isn't a more powerful hero. But it is there as a guideline to highlight the stat difference. Some people build teams on stats and some on specials and synergies. I'd always say the later is better but I have to try to be impartial. Hope that helps explain the thought process a little.

Is this the list 100% - Queen Guarang at 20?? No way, I’m cheap to play, have here and she’s just been sitting at 3/70. I’m not impressed and I do NOT have a deep roster. I suspect that Queen and Constance will be flipped when the portal actually comes out.
@@CB-pb8fe nothing is 100% confirmed yet however this is from a generally very reliable source so I have no reason to believe it is incorrect. That said they can always change things last minute. I agree on QG vs Constance btw but let's hope it stays as is on that one 😉 I'd like a couple switched out or include archie and zenobia costumes would make things interesting 😀
