Judy: Epic is loosing the culture that made the company successful. Staff: the company is loosing the unpaid over time from the staff, which made the company successful.
The only "culture" Epic is losing based on my time there is a toxic one of forced unpaid overtime. A friend of mine that remains with the company reports that not only are they forcing people back, but they demoted most of the team leads that were trying to help people stay at home or speaking out against the plan to return . I wish I could say I'm shocked, but Epic's modus operandi has long been to hire new graduates, overwork them, and burn them out within 2 years to be replaced by the next batch. I'd love to see a follow-up investigation by CBS on the rampant overtime abuse and age discrimination in hiring practices at Epic.
Yeah I thought of that too. If you have to complain anonymously to avoid getting fired, you weren't valued in the first place. That means the company leads by fear, which causes employees to be unproductive. I would look for another job, quit without notice, and then complain to the media showing my face!
Epic has also spent thousands of dollars on renovations, including upgrading to a hospital-level HVAC system and dividing all double offices with partitions. Separating double offices has also required installing new doors so that each newly-single office has its own entrance. They could have saved ALL of that money by continuing to allow staff to work from home full time, as they have been doing safely and effectively for over 4 months. Also, their "tiered" return system requires that some employees take the risk of exposure much sooner than others. Some employees are being asked to return at the start of August, while others continue WFH until mid-September. Also, as this reporter noted, no exceptions are being made for individuals with high-risk health conditions or who are caring for others with high-risk conditions.

Epic employees have been working hard since the pandemic began. They would like to continue to do so without putting themselves, their coworkers, and the local community at an unnecessary risk.
Biden literally can’t make a speech. Alzheimer I think. If Biden wins whoever he chooses as Vice president is probably gonna take over because Biden clearly doesn’t know how to lead properly cause if he can’t make a good speech he can’t lead the country.
My husband been going back to the office now for months he said staying at home wasnt as productive and chose to go back to work at epic 2 months ago I dont feel like he taking a risk at all the campus is clean and doing whatever is possible to make sure everyone is safe
That's part of what I'm worried about tbh. All of the people who are back right now are the ones who don't see the problem with returning to campus, and are therefore probably also going to be less careful than the average employee would be. They should close the campus and push back the return by at least several months to give folks time to plan. Instead they're mandating that *everyone* be back.
